Course Curriculum Overview

3

I really enjoy reading subjects of MBBS. It was my childhood dream to be a doctor. Hospital is very nice. We get different types of cases. But they have to improve teaching through digital board. I feel that, teaching through digital board can be used more effectively to make us understand the subject in depth

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is done in our district hospital which is affiliated to our college. A stipend of 30,00 -35,000 is given to our interns. They are very friendly and also have great knowledge. After completing one year of internship, they get graduated. Graduation ceremony is conducted by our college seniors and they are given farewell after one year in a grand way

Fees and Financial Aid

We had to pay 60,000 for KEA. And extra of 17,600 to the college that included kannada sangha fees, transport fees, lab fees, log book fees and extra payments. Scholarship is available for SSP. For hostel, we have to pay 9000 per year and 10,000 caution fees that we will get once we go out from the college

Campus Life

4.5

We celebrate kannada rajyotsava on November 1-9. Impulse During new year. College fest during month of March and April. An-artomy and fresher's in the first year and Ganesha chaturthi in the month of September. Additional small programmes like doctor's day, Krishna janmashtami is also celebrated. Talks and seminars are conducted on special days like world tobacco day, say no to suicide. Marathon was conducted on environmental day.

Admission

I choosed this college because it is near to my home and I can come to home for every 2 weeks. And here, almost everyone talks my mothr tongue language that is Tulu, so this place gives me a feeling of home. Yes my first priority was shivmogga college, SIMS. But since I didn't have enough marks, I didn't get that college. But this college is also very good, I have enjoyed a lot in my first years. Dissection was the best part of my day. That is the place where u enjoy and study the most

Faculty

2.5

Faculty student relationship is very good in the first year. Especially for anatomy, PGs and non teaching staffs are very friendly and they help us during our exams. Physiology faculty I don't like at all because they never cared about us, what we do, they just give us assignments.
