From the student's POV studying at Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science

The curriculum is well maintained and is set at a pace that the students can grasp and isn't that difficult to comprehend. The faculties help you understand the topics very much and are there at your disposal if you have doubts to be cleared regarding the same.

The placements in MITS are good. According to the placements in 2024, which is ongoing 365 offers were made with companies like L & , V-Guard, South Indian Bank, Vanenburg topping the list. In 2023, the top pay-package was 15 LPA from Cadence. 2022 batch had 508 total offers with 12 LPA being the highest pay-package.

I got in through management merit quota during the 2023 admissions. Initially, I blocked my seat through the "Freeze" option by paying Rs 1,00,000 which will be utilized as your semester fees. I am paying Rs 67,000 per sem including a caution deposit of Rs 10,000. There are various categories of fees ranging from Rs 18400 per sem to Rs 67,000 based on the category you're out in based on your academic performances. There is merit based on your KEAM rank and scholarships.

The annual technical festival of MITS is called Sreshta and it is a really good event hosted by the college and is always very active. It attracts students from other colleges to come over and participate and it is the flagship event we look forward to every year. There are a lot of student-run clubs in MITS which gives you a lot of choices to choose from and there are technical and non-technical clubs to suit your passion. You get to network well with the seniors and form connections to help with your career and academic life. The emphasis on sports is given to Volleyball and Basketball mainly with Football and Cricket on the side. There are coaches for Volleyball and Basketball respectively and helps you really well.

I chose this college as it was the nearest college from my home which offered the Cyber Security Course. I applied to colleges outside the state but decided to choose MITS as it was nearby and was close to home. The admission process for MITS was really easy and the admission cell was really helpful and was there to solve all our queries.

There are two faculty advisors provided to each class which acts as your first point of contact and will be there to support you throughout your college life. In my experience, they are very supportive and very approachable. There are two internal exams per sem and a university exam. There is weightage for both internals as well as externals. The college is under APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY.
