Overview of IIT Patna

The course curriculum is quite lengthy & hectic . Although Proffesors are good still enginnering courses are quite difficult from my prespective . Still you can pass exams before a day from studying .

internship oppurnitites are very good here , many cimpanies do visit us besides if you are intrested in research internship you can ask to profs they will either take you as research intern or will place you somewhere to be research intern .

The college placements are wonderful . With companies like Samsung , E&Y , JP Morgan & many other mncs & companies offering a average placement of 25-32 lpa & highest crossing 70lpa for domestic packages. besides this many alluminis are working on psus based on gate score

The tution fees per semester is 100000 for genral students . If your family income is less than 5lac then you can avail 66% discount . If you are SC/ST then you can avail 75% discount . Besides these there is Mess & Hostel fees of 19640 on which there is no schlorship. Besides these there are many schlorships based on gender , acadmics , family income.

Campus life is filled with fest & cultural activities. We have got 4 Big fests sport fest Infinito , TEDx , Tech Fest Celesta , Annual Cult Fest Anwesha & besides this many other festivals & small fests spanning all around the 8 month campus period of yours which makes the campus life too enjoyable & busy at the same time . Talking about library IIT Patna has got biigest library among all IIts . There are clubs for each & every activity which are quite active in conducting events . As of now We have 12 Cultural Clubs , 16 Technical Clubs & 14-17 Sports Club.

The hostel facility is decent with very cheap rates , the hostel rate is nearly 150 per semester , room are decent with double or triple occupancy although the room was orginally for 1 which makes the room small for 2 people but overall its comfartable , Still not too good but yeah its fine to live in.

The main reason I chose this college was I got this in last round of counselling . Also placements are here are pretty good as compared to other tier A colleges . The admission process is well managed & hasty .

The faculty student ratio is of 1:12 . Most of faculties is well educated & good natured , mostly have completed their phds from either foreign or reputated IITs . Some profs are strict & maintain the rules in class . Rest mostly are chill with repesct to classroom rules . The best faculty I think are Jose Sir & Rishi Raj Sir.
