Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course b.com was pretty much normal with a break up of specialization in the final semester. The curriculum is broken up into 6 semesters each comprising of several internal tests followed up by the university exam which happens after each semester.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement of the college is not up to the mark as was promised to the students at the beginning

College Events

2.5

Apogee Fest - it is a management fest which includes several dances and singing performances DSCE - its a fest conducted by the engineering department for the students which also includes a variety of performances ethic day - it includes wearing traditional dresses

Fee Structure And Facilities

The B.COM fees included Rs70000 per year for non-karnataka students along with Rs100000 p.a for hostel expenses and Rs 150000 for NRI students. Whereas the expenditure for the hostel is less for students from Karnataka. The hostel fees are a bit pricy as compared to the facilities provided

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for any scholarship or educational loan for getting into Dayananda Sagar institutions

Campus Life

3.5

The campus of DSI is good with lots of greenery. There is no gender bias and the campus includes outdoor games like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. It also comprises of a fitness center along with the facilities such as squash and meditation centers

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The Indian hostel fees amounted around Rs 100000 whereas the hostel for NRI students comprised of Rs 150000. As compared to the price of the hostel, the facilities provided were not up to the mark and the quality of the food was also not satisfying

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are helpful. The alumni network of BCom was good and they also encouraged as well as guided through some of the aspects of the college

Admission

The admission was based on the marks I secured in my class 12th. It was pretty simple followed up by a few formalities that had to be done. I got to know about the college through the website and filled in the forms which were required to be filled by the students.

Faculty

2.5

Some of the faculties lacked proper knowledge of the course they were teaching. They lacked management skills and also could not imply proper knowledge whereas few professors were really helpful and they made sure to use different techniques to teach students
