Course Curriculum Overview
It would have been great if they taught us practicals rather than only teaching from the PPTs and books.they have lab classes but instead they teach us to do sums and all by writing in copies. Rest I think it's not that bad
Internships Opportunities
College provides us with different internship opportunities during the course. We have winter and summer internships to do. Winter is not compulsory but it's better to do as it gives us experience, but summer internships are very important for placement purpose. Companies like Kellogg's, dabur, ITC sunrise, Airport Authority of India etc. gave us internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
They do provide placements to their students as they have a record of placing their 100 percent students, but most of the students are placed in sales and marketing function as they fail to bring good companies based on specialization.
Fees and Financial Aid
#Yearly fees is 3,20,000 #Semester wise fees is 1,60,000 #Total fees is 6,40,000. Everything is included in the the semester fees including tution fees, development fees, lab fees, and other compulsory charges.IEM also takes their MBA students for educational tour to Singapore which is also included in the fees. They also provide scholarships to eligible students.
Campus Life
IEM does not have a campus life at all. It is like studying in the school. It never felt like studying in college. They are strict,they have college uniforms they do not allow students to enter the college after 9:30. IEM students do not have any social life as they are always doing some kind of assignments given by the professors with a deadline.
Admission
I choose this college over other colleges because I did my bachelors from this college and it was easier for me to take admission because they do give priority to their aluminis which is a great thing for the students and they also fund new and promising entrepreneurs and their startups.
Faculty
Facilities are overall good but there can be improvment because they mainly focus on theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge. They only emphasis on reading books and taking exams. They usually have 2 mid semester exams before the end semester Which happens every semester. 1st semester: 2 mid sem exam+ 1 final end sem exam.(Follows every semester)
Interview Experience
Yes I faced group discussions written tests and interviews at the time of addmission. They provide us with the topic on the spot but the topic are generally not that difficult as they are current ones .
