Course Curriculum Overview

5

Actually I chose this course because I love Psychology...it's a very interesting subject, psychology studies the human mind, emotions and the behaviour of humans and animals and why they act they way they act,I don't really think there should be any further improvement cause it's all good right now.we have a good psychology teacher...The exams are not that hard but you still have to study a lot of experiments and everything...

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees per year is about fifty six thousand because I'm a Catholic and I took Arts and for others it's more like for the non Catholics...it goes up to 2 lakhs. For science students it's more and they have to cross a higher percentage.Dor the economically weaker sections, they have scholarships like half tuition fees and people from many cities and countries migrate only to study in this college...

Campus Life

3.5

My overall experience with Campus life has been so good so far, beautiful campus, lovely teachers council, anyone can enter the library, all textbooks and NCERT solutions and guides...TV screen provided...lots of sports and ECA...lot of clubs and groups including Eco club,NCC etc

Admission

So the other college I applied to was Christ University with a confirmed admission and I got into MCC with a confirmed admission but I chose McC because Christ was too far for me...No I really didn't get rejected at other colleges because I didn't apply to that many, maybe I needed more grades and that's why they rejected me...The admission process is where you have to stand on like for admission, sign papers and meet the principle and only those with about 80% are eligible and you don't have to write an entrance exam to get into Mount Carmel's...The cutoffs are above 80% for normal students and for Catholics it's a little less like 65%

Faculty

4.5

The teacher student relationship in this college is the best, they are so approachable and so sweet and make you understand everything, they care for you and your grades. The faculty I like the most is obviously Arts Faculty, political science, psychology and English faculty...So yearly there are like 5 exams max and if the students fail to clear the exam, they will be asked to write a supplementary...

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
