The teachers are good, they are student friendly

Course Curriculum Overview

I think the course curriculum is well made and there is no need to improve it further although I feel that for some subjects the exam syllabus is too much to be completed in 5 months of time so that subject's extra class can be taken

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay fees semester wise for first semester it is 21000 rs and for 2nd it is 13000 rs it can fluctuate a little bit for 2nd and 3rd year also the fees is equal for all and there is no scholarship available

Campus Life

Youth festival has been organised in our college last year and also may festivals has occured but I haven't joined them. The library contains all the book that you might need regarding your academic need. Also there is a big sports room in our college

Admission

I chose this college over other because I have visited this college and I liked the faculty members here they are calm and well educated also the reputation of this college is very good and taking admission in this college is also very easy, yes it is true that I got rejected from other colleges that's why I am in this college. The admission process includes filling an online form through my college's website including personal and academic information

Every teacher is well educated and their teaching style is also very good the exam happens in the 5th month of the semester, in bcom you can have 6-7 subjects so it becomes to difficult to manage every subject and student usually get reappear in it

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Likes

it provides vibrant environment, people from different states and culture are accepted here. it has 2 canteens , 1 Nescafe and 1 juice bar.
No ragging is there in college campus and the it provides various sports activities like cricket , basketball ,volleyball ,badminton and shooting.
It has various college clubs and societies for extra- curricular and student interaction. teachers are also involved in these clubs and they are very helpful.

Dislikes

Not much active training and placement cell. No internship opportunities given and teaching is based upon old textbook method and no real life industrial experience is provided.
students are not willing to attend classes much and most of the students are found in canteen or outside college in their cars,
Elections are given more importance than studies and these elections spoil the environment of the college.

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

I personally like all the things in my college, there is a proper facility and the cars are also very cooperative. There is a proper parking facility and the teachers are also very friendly and their teachers is very kindly and calmly.

Dislikes

There are no such things that I dislike about the Is very great

Course Curriculum Overview:

in terms of relevance. I must say that college has planned it all very significantly and the college exams is also very moderate easy to moderate kind of exam. MST is conducted one month before the final examination.

My college why the best

Likes

Teaching way of teachers and there efforts
Staff to adresss the any sort of problems during payments or registration
Campus is good and everyone is helping here

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not at all good in classes
Washrooms are uncleaned and not taken care of sanitary pads for girls
Water tankers are also not of good condition

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum prepares me for practical word. In many ways as my course is bachelor of commerce with honors and it help me to perform business and accounting activities in the official jobs interview etc

The teaching staff there is very good, they really help you in whatever way they can . Provide extra lectures in case you miss anything
College is beautiful, it's very green and give good vibes ..
Tests are taken frequently so that students can remember whatever they are learning.

Dislikes

They have restrictions for the gate entry, you can't leave the college before 12:30 once entered.
The college's hostel food i.e message food is not good, not tasty.
No internship programme are provided to the students.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester that is 6th semester the placement drive is started. Every year 3-4 companies come to the college and 50% of the students are placed from the students who appeared in the drive. Decathlon came who gave the highest offer for 35000 per month. Profile they offer is analyst, client relation, assistant etc . I will now pursue my Post graduation

Every thing about PU USOL

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am a commerce student as well as I am doing CA so I selected to do BCom from USOL as it has fewer restrictions than regular college as discussed classes there were 7days classes in which important topics was covered by well-qualified educator and also USOL gives us the opportunity to give feedback on classes If we take about papers USOL students only give main semester paper there was not any practical or mst for Bcom internal assessment Mark are based on the mark of theory or main sem papers. And they also give notes to students for studies.

The best college in india

Entrance Preview:

My admissions was done on the basis of marks scored in 12 th standard. As I had scored 80 percent marks I got admission on merit basis, as the seats are limited to 250 approx. This college is the best college in the city its comes under Punjab university which is recognized in entire world. So I was determined to get admission in this college and luckily I got the admission.

My experience with admissions in college at Sri guru Gobind Singh are : Admission process is 10+2 with 50% marks Admission form available in college website and DHE website also. Application fee around for BA is 700 And admission start when 12th results declared Their is no enterance exam. Their is no clear guild lines to fill the form . Inside the campus

Application process of this course was quite confusing for the freshman students at the time of my admission as the elegibility criteria was only 12th class but students struggled to take admission as the admission was based on the percentage of 12th class . Due to which quota students got much more benefits as compared to general students. The average cutoff goes on to 90 percent aggregate in 12th class. And the students who got more percentage got admission through counselling list. I didnt like only thing about admission that the general students needed above 90 percentage for admission but quota students needed only above 60 Percentage so their admission was quite easy as compared to general students which is quite unfair bcz sometimes the deserving candidate doesn't gets admission because of seats acquired by quota students...Read More
