Remarks

Positives about the college are the placement opportunities and the interiors of the college. The worst things/ negatives are the location, canteen, and it's food, support for extracurricular activities, syllabus, few professors.

Entrance Exam, DSAT

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It can be compared to that of the Vtu curriculum and it's pretty similar. Though it can make its own syllabus that hasn't gone out of the box and haven't developed a better one but follows the outdated and mainstream courses.

Internships Opportunities

No, they don't give any. But they provide training but call it Internship, forget stipend, they rather take or collect money from the students and give some training which isn't efficient or useful.

Placement Experience

4

That is the best park. If you somehow survive all the above cons and somehow manage to score decently and get the eligibility i.e 6.75/7.75 CGPA by the end of 6th sem, you have great opportunities and a good number of companies show up for freshers.

College Events

1.5

There aren't any such celebrations at this college and do not encourage any kinds of cultural events. Only events are a few talks about technology that maybe monthly or once in a fourth night. So if you are expecting fests, this is not the place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If You get a decent CET score you will have to pay the Respective CET fees and on that college charges Aprox Forty thousand (40,000) which is way too much compared to any other in Bangalore. If joining through Dsat it's about 2.5L per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The loan facility is available as there is a bank tied up with the main branch of this college and they are student friendly. Lower caste scholarships are available which are, by the Karnataka government but nothing as such from college.

Campus Life

2.5

There isn't any support provided by the college for extracurricular activities such as sports, fests, arts or any other of the kind. They have the sports department which isn't efficient and rarely there is an appreciation for it. So it'll be four years of studies, ONLY.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are two buildings on the campus which is located almost out of the city. One building has classrooms and the other has a library, canteen and few companies (it's an incubation center) but the interiors are excellent and are well built.

Alumni/Alumna

As my batch was the first one is the university there were no senior batch /pass outs before my batch. And hence no alumni for this university. So that said, there ain't any alumni network or senior students help.

Exam Structure

So the scoring is split up into 30-70 where 30 marks are constituted by the continuous Internal evaluation and the remaining 70 is the final external exam. It has subjects as well as labs and both of them have a credit based scoring system where marks are converted to grade points.

Admission

I took CET(Common Entrance Test) and then had to select colleges according to our ranks obtained in CET. Finally, I ended up at DSU and pretty happy about it now. Also, there is another entry called Dsat (Dayananda Sagar admission test) which is costly.

Faculty

3

It's nothing very special and a few of them pretty average. A handful of professors are supportive but most of the others are just annoying and make you run around for each and everything. Also, they aren't really good with the courses and presenting it.

Placements of our college was an average because our college is located in rural area and companies were not ready to come to that rural place but our placement officer used to try very hard in order to help students and get placed in well company. During the last year i.e, 7th semester palcements used to come and depending on our eligibilty we attented the interviews. My plans after the degree completion was to do software courses and join in software company because i did electrical and eletronics engineering.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNSIT are decent and consistent, especially for CS-related branches. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts training programs including aptitude tests, coding practice, mock interviews, and soft skills sessions to prepare students. Many reputed companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and some product-based companies visit the campus. The highest package in recent years has gone above 20 LPA (mostly for CS/IT related roles), while the average package ranges between 4–6 LPA depending on the branch. Most offers are for roles like Software Developer, System Engineer, Analyst, and Associate Engineer.
