Course Curriculum Overview

4

I think it's mostly the placement opportunities and the the faculties that made me choose this course apart from the fact that I myself am interested in CS. The curriculum is pretty adequate I feel because it not only is application based but also holistic . We also have AR-VR labs this time and it's really interesting. Timing of the exams may be a problem because they rush the process during every odd sem . And the exams are pretty okay . Not very difficult if you concentrate a bit .

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements in Christ depends very much on the individual rather than the college because everyone knows Christ university has got a good reputation and the opportunities are pretty good . I'm not sure about the companies visited but this year many of my seniors have got placed . About 20 percent of the students get placed or more . I want to continue with my masters after this degree

Fees and Financial Aid

For admissions the registration fee is 5000, later for the course that is the one I took for CSE it's 1,90000 And for people from other states 239,000 and for NRI it's 349,000. This is excluding scholarships . To claim scholarships we gotta get above 90 percent in the first year of studying . This is what I know .

Campus Life

4.5

There are many main events Magnovite Ethnic day Anvesha(engineers day) Magnificat We have a very big library available which has a proeaceful environment for studying and the variety of books and journals available is very impressive. There is a smart board installed in every classroom and charger plots . We have sports day too and many sports are available and NCC plays a important role in extracurricular too. There are many clubs and student led clubs too... the one I am a part of is CSA . The ones I know out the many are IEEE. CAPS, SWO, IIIC. And many more .

Admission

I was very determined and worked hard to get into Christ . I did not have any other college on my mind because I really wanted to get into Christ . I personally thing my ethics goes well with the moral values Christ university upholds and hence that's the main reason I chose Christ . As far as the admissions are concerned we have to take a test which includes aptitude tests and math and all the other subjects you have studied until 12th .Then there will be a interview round where your academic skills are tested . And next round will be your mini presentation on whatever topic they give . Eligibility is 50 percent marks minimum in 12th maths and physics . The overall admission process is pretty complex but worth it .

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio in my opinion is 3:7 I think . They are very helpful. I think as far as I have attended college all of the faculties I have met are really approachable. There are totally 3 CIA's and one end sem exam. CIA -2 is considered our midsems . And we have lab exams before cia -2 and end sem exams as well.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech-enthusiast and chip designing is something i have been keen to know about and hence i went in for ECE Course. The curriculum is just same as the other engineering colleges. Detailed enough to pass the semester end exams. Teaching methods and the equipments need to be changed. Its high time. While other colleges are using well designed new technologies for lab experiments, ours is still stuck on the old methods which is very frustrating as we dont receive accurate results that affects our performance.
