What Students Say

Likes

Location of the college is great as markets are available at walkable distance
Professors are good. They take their job seriously
Placement are nice considering it is a tier 3 college

Dislikes

Accommodation issues are there as less number of seats are there in the hostels
Labs are outdated and most of the tools and machines don't work properly
College timing which about 9 am to 5 pm with giving only 1 hr break

the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is as same as other colleges in odisha as it follows the same syllabus. Only few subjects are more than the regular syllabus of other universities

Placement Experience

The placements of the college are average average packages around 4 to 5 lacs for annum which go highest up to around 14 to 15 and the minimum is around 3 lakhs per annum generally the mass recruiter like TCS Accenture cognizant come to visit for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college name is odisha University of technology and research aka college of engineering. The fees structure for btech regular course is 18k per from second year on wise. In the 1st semester i have to pay around 40k for including reservatiing the seat in the counselling round plus the semester fee . In the second semester i have to pay around 1500 . College also provides scholarships for top 1% students of the university.

Campus Life

There are many class in the university according to your interest you will find a great community focusing on different skills like like citadel,sae etc sports are below average you will find some of the famous sports like cricket football badminton.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel conditions in the college are very poor they are less hostel seats for freshers and even for 2nd year the college has to hostels for boys inside the campus and one outside the campus and and two hostels for girls inside the campus

Admission

I choose this college because of the location factor and replacement factor the other colleges that I applied watch the Veer Surendra Sai University burla I got admission by ojee counselling which accept the marks of JEE mains

The faculty to student ratio I would say is average. The strength of one section is around 60 to 80.Their are total of 3 exams in a semester first internal 5 marks , second mid semester, third end semester.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

KIIT:place where students chase their dreams.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards companies visit campus and recruit students for internship. This internship season goes upto entire 7th semester. Many companies like amazon Deloitte cognizant and many other startups visited the campus.highest package was 42lpa and average package for computer science was 9 lpa. Around 70 percent student got placed.i want to get a good job in a good company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

The placement is good with highest package being 19 lpa from JP Morgan to lowest is 3 lpa the average package is around 5 lpa . Students are eligible for placement tests from 6 sem as pwc comes for their launchpad program in 6th sem only. Companies like accenture, tcs, Infosys, cognizant, PWC, JP Morgan visit our college. Majority students around 82 percent gets placed in these companies. My plan after college is to work for any of these companies.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards wards students are eligible for campus placement.it provides 100% placement guaranteed to the students who were eligible and sit for the placement drive. Big tech companies like ,amazon, samsung, Capgemini,minetree,infosis,adani wlvisit the campus. The highest package offered in 52 lpa The average package in KIIT is around 6-8lpa And the lowest package offered in 3 lpa. So overall you will have a nice exposure to tech and industrial space and can grab some decent placements.

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple.
