Likes

Campus - Campus is very big and infrastructure is also good..Classes and labs are quite big.
Extra curricular activities- CU organize a lot of activities in which students can participate according to their interests.
Syllabus- Syllabus of a particular course is designed in sucha way that you get idea of what industry needed.

Dislikes

Teachers- Teachers are teaching subjects other than their main subject for which they don't have any knowledge.
Study material- They provide PPT's which is just copy paste from internet.
Attendence- 75% attendence was mandatory.

Course Curriculum Overview

So they were using the comcepts which is used in real world and thats good but they are not teaching it in the right way so they should assign expert teachers only for a particular subject. Otherwise students won't be able to gain much knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities given to students by companies like zscaler, optum, edifecs, cloud analogy. These companies offered internsip opportunity and if you did a good job they have provided full time offer also.

Placement Experience

There were ample opportunities given to students but thats upto students how well they are performing in interviews. Around 50% students got placed during my time with avg ctc of 4.5 lpa. Companies like deloitte,pwc, edifecs, amazon, flipkart were visiting the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

So total fees for 2 years is 2 lakh 20 thousand. You can apply for scholarship as well basis on your last degree i.e 12th or graduation. And depending how much you score in scholarship test discount will be applied on your fees.

Campus Life

Campus is very good infrastructure is too good. We got all the facilities inside campus like bank, atm, food courts, library. There are different student clubs in which students can participate according to their interests.

Admission

I applied to Thapar as well but they don't have bus service at that time for where i was living and i was reluctant to live in hostel. CU is nearby to my home and good placements also so thats why i have chosen this.

Faculty

So 1 teacher on 40 students for each subject was there. Teachers were good but the problem.was they have assigned the subjects in which they won't have expertise, its not their fault but organizatikn fault. There were 2 MST in 1 semester and final exams. Exams are of average level if you have studied you can clear easily.

The life of a middle class student in a high profile college.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements college dont have any class. I vistited companies like BMW but they rejected me beacuse of my less knowledge. As college claims you get the packages of 10to 15 lachs higest and average package is 4to5 lakhs . The percentage you required is 75%. I am going to UK after i get this degree and then i am going to do data science there.

Placement Experience:

A journey towards my dreams

Placement Experience:

A placement facility is provided by the college. There are special classes for students so that they get prepared for the placement drives and interviews. Eligibility criteria are different for different companies, the minimum is 60%. Various companies like Amazon, and Wipro visited our campus and the package is based on the companies. The average package is 4-5 lpa.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
