Course Curriculum Overview
Okay so, my course is BA with one major and 2 minors with minors being pol science and english and my major is History and the main reason i chose this subject is because i feel like it's a really important subject for future competitive exams, i also personally find it interesting to learn bout our pasts and how things have come to be, the faculty members are nice. We all know that history is a boring subject but still they try their best to teach it in a way that seems fun for us. Our history department got the maximum students with 300+ students so i can guess how much of an important subject this is as it will also help us build a great mindset and make us understand things better and increase our capacity to think more.
Internships Opportunities
I am not really sure about this one since i am new, but there are certain programs held for internships and other stuff and interested students and join them, any student studying in the college are free to join these programs freely and can enjoy the facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is simple, you need to pay 7k during the admission, but there are certain criteria's by which you can do free admission that includes ur caste certificate, permanent residencial certificate (pcr), income certificate and a picture of you planting a tree. I am a BA first year student so i don't know much right now, but the fees for a semester should be around 4-7k. There are also lots of scholarships like Nijutmoina, ishanudoi, arunudoi, etc. They also gives a notice after the admission where we can get the money we paid during admission back. Overall it's a great option and everyone can afford it. As i've mentioned before there's free admission option for ST/SC caste. Although students need to pay extra 2k if they wants to opt for psychology since it's a new course.
Campus Life
the campus life is great I would say, they held freshers for the new students to help us socialize with more students, they got lots of clubs which we can join and camps too like NCC and other sports. There are lots of books available in the library for all subjects, it's a 2 floor building and lots of books are available
Admission
I did not specifically applied for other colleges but rather applied for universities but chose this college just for safety, i felt like its a great option since its a girls college so i went for it, i would not really compare it with other college as i dont know much bout the other ones but i think this one is pretty good and the subjects are really well taught, the teachers doesn't just slacks off and blabbers but rather they prepare lots of notes for us and makes us understands everything. The admission process is simple we need to show our marksheets, caste certificate and some other personal documents. the eligibility is above 50% and the exams required is 12th or CUET.
Faculty
For each subject there are mostly 5-6 lecturers, all of them are very interactive, at least the teachers in my department. I really like some of my history teachers because of their fun ways of teaching and making a very calm and friendly environment for us but there are certain teachers who are rude and seems uninterested and they're mostly the older people and female ones. I am a new student and still not sure bout the systems of exam and the kind of paper they set. there are sessional exams and final exams.
