- Usually I joined niepmd through referral of my relative and occupational therapist helps person with physical, sensory and cognitive deficits
- Amenities that can be availed - well equipped anatomy and physiology labs and well designed digital classrooms, seminar hall , library with various and multi reference books , superb Auditorium for programs and events
- Computer lab for students projects , assignment and research, Anti ragging committee always stands with students and supervision on all students behaviour.
Dislikes
- Limited teaching faculties because in this shorter period the hiring of professors and assistant professor is still pending.
- In campus girls hostel facility with full safety and people coming from different places will suffer in beginning and boys hostel is placed 7km apart and boys have to take care of own transportation from hostel to College, actually this is worst
- Limited cultural and sports programs, we are requesting our management to increase the events
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually I joined the course with referral of my relative who is an occupational therapist and professor in the same college , And also it was my passion to include the person with special needs in the society so I thought OT could pave way to my passion and I already has a service minded and happy to be occupational therapist
Internships Opportunities
Compulsory 6months Internship program with stipend of 12,000 per month only in niepmd posting(3months) , internship at Balaji and out posting cannot avail stipend (3months). Companies coming for campus interview hire position of clinical therapist, tutor , professor and special school staff with descent salary
Placement Experience
In niepmd from past 2 batches they are availing campus interview from various states with high annual package even for freshers , campus interview can be done after finishing final year semester before internship or during internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Only the first year you will be paying Rs- 44,000/ as Demand draft or online transaction during the councelling process,The fees includes first year academic fees (33,000) and caution fees of 11,000 ( can Avail after finishing internship). 2. As with this every year (except 1st year)you have to pay Rs-33,000/ as current academic year fees (Note - No Notebook or book will be provided from college side ) 3. Other than academic fees , you are supposed to pay for university student registration fee for only first year . 4. This is an Non-semester course, yearly once exam will be conducted on August month , For theory and practical exam fees it cost around max of 3-5k per year . 5. Student from north east can Avail their scholarship. 6. Scholarship can be availed by the students based on the eligibility criteria.

Overall niepmd life is like a heaven with few difficulties and adjustment Students enjoy your college life as much as possible with beach view classrooms and East coast road . Niepmd amenities are well equipped anatomy and physiology labs and well designed digital classrooms, seminar hall, library with various types of Books with multiple references
Admission
Usually I took niepmd Ot from referral and also it is near to my home and also followed my passion 1. Bot is the first preference of mine,if not I would take any other courses in the same college itself. 2. Students can join niepmd through Common entrance test (CET) through official website of niepmd And also students from Tn can join through State councelling based on cut off mark of their HSC 2nd yr .
Faculty
Respected Mr. Kurinji chelvan sir , head of unit(House) , college of occupational therapy, inspiration for every student and most talented sir which he will not show off the others , Humble and simple sir . In occupational therapy (ot) there are 5 male staff and 1 female staff for HRD students There are 1 male staff and 1 female staff for clinicals . All the staffs are friendly to everyone and everyone has unique talent or king of their subjects Every exams are easy which comes early once Even one month before exam or started studying after timetable is enough for completing the syllabus and can gain knowledge easily .

Common entrance test will be conducted, apply through college website itself, regularly check these websites for updates, and apply with your general details and you can add your 12 or HSC second year marks after the results are out , On exam General qn- 10Nos, physics -30Nos, chemistry -30Nos, biology -30Nos No negative marks , admission through the ranking and category
