Course Curriculum Overview

Nice course, the syllabus and the duration of the course everything are appropriate. We had yearly once exam pattern now it is been changed to semester pattern. People of my class were did some research and published papers too. Importance for research is good over there.

Placement Experience

Placement is completely depends on the 12th marks and the interest of the individual. it is a 4 years course ( 3 years studies + 1 year international). For the internship the postings are around the Chennai.

College Events

Least importance is given for the cultural activities since it is a allied health science. ayudha pooja celebration, pongal celebration, Onam celebration n all ll happen every year. The celebration n all not that grand celebration instead a small celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Nowadays it's becoming expensive. Every year they r keep on increasing it. My classmates were studied by getting educational loan n all. For PG the fee it is above 4 lakhs this year, it is not affordable for people like me. but during my college days the price were affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opted any education loan. During my period the fees were lesser and affordable. Now only they have increased it. also keep on increasing it.

Campus Life

Very small campus. Gender ratio 4:1 girls will be higher in count. No importance are given for extra curricular activities. Our field related labs like voice lab, hearing lab are there. yearly once we have cultural program that too due to some issues it is not happening properly nowadays.

Hostel Facilities

Actually I am a day scholar so my answer is No. And there is no college hostel my classmates who are from other districts were stayed in nearby private hostels only. so many private colleges are there around my college.

External Expense: Rs. 2000 - Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, my seniors who already left the college are my colleagues now, from telling the vacancy details to helping during work they are very helpful.

Admission

I sent the application form. They called for interview. I attended the interview and got selected. everything happened within a week. That was a nice experience for me. I had one to one interview it was very fun I enjoyed a lot. The staff shared his experience on these field.

Depends on the staff. Moderate to good. Rating varies for each staff. Also staffs will work for a year and leave. 2 - 3 are working for more than a year. not everyone are permanent staffs over there. Any there teaching and communication skills are good.

NIEPMD college insight

Likes

The campus environment is very good, neat and calm, the campus is well maintained and regularly cleaned
The main language that's spoken here is english, since people from all over India comes here, the common language to communicate switches to English, which is better for our English vocabulary and for future job references
It's a ragging free campus, there is strict anti ragging helpline, seniors are friendly,

Dislikes

No availability of good food nearby the college, since it's in outskirts of chennai, there is no medical or no or very few hotels around here
There is shortage of staffs here, and mostly boys to girls ratio is like 1:4 in our class,
The canteen food needed to be improved and should provide proteinacious food

Placement Experience:

The college gives internships after the final year, 6 months is the duration of the internship, 3 months inside campus and 3 months they post us outside the college to nearby hospitals or colleges like SRM,Meenakshi, Saveetha, balaji etc....Placements are average, they have to do a lot of work on it, but the coming placements are with a good salary amount

This college have good cirtificate value
This college have a great principal who is very passionate about what he is doing
You will be Able to have a budget friendly life here

Dislikes

Faculties are not upto mark but they are ok
The infrastructure is not good but yes they are improving
Very bad toilet facilities, campus is not that big

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is possible here You will get intership from nimhans Bangalore and many great places There is campus placement but Id rather recommend to have other methods coz you will get great package for this course than the place they are placing us.

Niepmd - ASIA'S only college for multiple disabilities

Likes

Asia's first college which is working for multiple disabilities
Clinical exposure will be much better than other colleges
Good teaching skills and teachers support

Dislikes

No hostel facilities for students after first year
No bus facilities for students for day scholars and outside first year hostellers
Canteen food is not good as per students need

Course Curriculum Overview:

- i want to become a doctor and this field feels very much interesting to me - yeah there will be so much clients load will have a great exposure for different disabilities and well planned treatments also - detailed review about patients by clinical staff has to be there and teaching with interest - every year annual exam and it's difficult

Placement Experience:

The course consists of 3 years and 1-year internship. Every student will be able to get job after the course because during the 1 year internship you will be able to expand your knowledge and get exposure. I plan on doing my PG after completing the degree.

I get to know about this course on the internet. 20 students four faculty. 1 HOD 4 FACULTY MEMBERS with MASLP DEGREE. 3 CLINICAL supervisor with bachelor degree BASLP. Teaching quality need to be improved. Semester exam with viva. Not that much difficult to pass.

A place nurtured me

Placement Experience:

During internship periods itself got placement. They published my research paper with faculty guidance during the internship itself. 100% passed out students were placed in various hospitals. Offering a Master degree with a specialization in Psychiatry, Pediatrics and Neurology.

I got admission in this college by getting high marks in my HSC examination. The eligibility criteria are as follows: Applicants should have passed through HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology. The vocational stream isn't qualified for admission. Applicant should have finished 17 years old as on 31st December of the admission year
