Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing was founded in the year in 1977 to providing services to persons with communicative disabilities, such as– patients with hearing impairment, voice disorders, stuttering, cleft lip, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, learning disability, autism spectrum disorders, and post-stroke communication disorders
Workshops:
The Institute has conducted several workshops and conferences like Talk on dysphagia and its management, Faculty improvement programme, Seminar on Parent/Caregiver Implemented Intervention: An Introduction to the Hanen Approach by Hanen Center in collaboration with FiVE, National workshop on Noise measurement and conservation of hearing in industrial worker.

The college has well-equipped library with 2469 Books, 1000 Bound Volumes and 5 National & 14 International Journals.

There is no any remarks for our college and it's a good college.
If you are looking for a arts college then this is not it. Its a professional course with high scope for research. This course has been in India for maybe 60-70 years hence a lot of research needs to done to provide service for people. Each semester in masters had 4 subjects with 3 being core subjects and one soft. We also had to attend clinics.

Yes, Dr. S.R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing offer the BASLP course. You must have done (10+2) or High School Senior Secondary exam by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or Equivalent. He/She should have secured a minimum 50% Aggregate. All SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum aggregate.
