Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I had already decided that I will pursue in data science after watching my cousin brother handling big data, doing business analysis. This made me clear I will do this The curriculum is actually relevant for the real world applications. But they only teach the basics not the advance stuff. The improvements needed in the course curriculum is that they should come up with some new syllabus they are still teaching the same thing as they were teaching in 1990's. And the improvements needed in teaching methods are the teachers should try to teach in a way that the students themselves try to interact with the teacher. The frequency and timing of exams actually align along the difficulty level so you actually get a lot of time to prepare for the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are available in many companies like Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Microsoft, IBM and most of them are paid internships. They teach you many things related to your course you are pursuing and the stipend they provide are mainly between 10-20K and many time it also depends on your own performance. First of all they teach you about the role and the way of handling it. After that you are given 2-3 real life projects not some big time projects and they really build up your resume. I haven't applied for a internship yet.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Companies who visit for campus placements varies in different kinds like: Tech giants companies: microsoft, Google, Amazon, ibm, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture Package range: 6-20LPA, depending on role and location. Finance and consulting firms: Deloitte, KOMG, EY, PwC Package range: 7-15LPA Manufacturing and Engineering Firms: Bosch, Tata Motors, L&T, Siemens Package range: generally between 5-12LPA Startups and New Age Companies: various startups in tech, finance and other sectors. Package range: vary widely from 4-10LPA Highest package offered in campus placements is 45LPA in Microsoft. 84% students get placed. My plans after getting a degree are to gain experience in a job for 2 years then do MBA and after that some start up.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual Fee Structure Below are the regular program fee: B Tech-Computer Science and Engineering- ?375000 B Tech-Computer Science and Engineering (AI &ML)-?375000 B Tech-Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science)-?375000 B Tech-Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security)-?375000 B Tech-Computer Science & Technology (Cloud Tech.& Devops)-?375000 B Tech - Robotics & AI-?375000 B Tech-Aerospace Engineering-?340000 B Tech-Mechanical Engineering-?340000 B Tech-Electronics & Communication Engineering-?340000 Note: Above mentioned fee shall be payable annually for the duration of the B. Tech program But if you give DSAT entrance exam for this university and if you succeed at it then you get ?75000 scholarship in all the CS program with different specializations and then your fees is ?300000. Likewise, for aerospace engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering you get ?90000 scholarship and then your fees becomes ?250000.

Campus Life

4

the last annual fest was held in January, 2024, it was taranga. It was really awesome experience. There are a lot of books available in library for each kind of courses available in the college. The facilities are really nice as every class has a digital board which makes feasible for the teachers to teach and the lecture theatres are really big. There are lots of sports competition in the college and many hackathons are organised. Their are many students who are running their own clubs like there is one ecell in which the student coordinator deals with startups and finance and the second is a movie club, it really gives them special opportunity as it build ups their resume.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Their are three kinds of hostel available by our college- 2 sharing for girls only and 3-4 sharinga hostel for both girls and boys. The rooms are really nice. The toilet and bathroom is nice as they are equipped with latest stainless steel taps and showers. The mess food is better than other college mess food but still it's bad. Registration process is really easy as you have to pay the fees first and fill a form once they verify it you get the keys of the rooms. But paying ?84000 for the mess food isn't worth it. I haven't rented a room or PG

Admission

I applied for maharaja agrasen and KIIT and got confirm admission. But I chose this college because this is the top 5 college in Bangalore and there are really a lot of job opportunities in Bangalore. I did get rejections from few colleges because I wasn't aligning with their admission criteria and for many colleges I didn't cleared their entrance exam. In my college students get accepted by CET, KCET, COMED-K, DSAT and by management quotas also. The most preferred exam is DSAT because it is easy and online so many students do clear the exam. The students favourite exam is KCET because you get next level scholarship if you clear that.

Faculty

3.5

Some of the faculty are really good but most of the them are really so clumsy and lenient that they push everything for the end time. I do really one faculty in my maths department and the computer science department those two are really the best, they really support the students and listen to their problems and they really try to make sure those problems get resolved. I really didn't liked my electrical, mechanical, and electronics faculty. There are 2 internals, 1 practical and 1 semester end examination. They are not difficult. Those exams are really easy, some times there level is medium but most of the time they are easy Many students are just chilling and enjoying their parents money so they fail in the exam. Course curriculum is actually relevant to the point but the faculty teaching those really matters a lot

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
