Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The specific aspects of the curriculum are the unique exposure to both industrial roles and research lab roles in the curriculum. Areas of improvement use of technology in classrooms mainly. Exams can be rated as moderate to difficult level but these cannot be passed without studying throughout the semester it's not an ordinary engineering College where you can pass the examination just studying before the night.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are mostly done during the summer vacation. The summer interns can be of the institute or they can pursue internship from foreign or in any other college in India. Mostly student prefer to work in lapse of different professor sole across the country mostly from IIT , NIT, NISER etc. the main taxsk is most of the times to work on research problems and do progress in it.

Placement Experience

5

From 8th semester onwards student can become eligible for the placements. Mostly students here opt for USD in foreign universities rather than sitting for placements and going to corporate sector. Hence placement scenario is not that great. Steel companies like Barclays numura Bank and Dr. Reddy's lab usually recruit students. The highest package last year was 31 lakhs per my plan is to pursue higher education after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

According to the recent changes in the fee structure at eiser Bhopal from now onwards the per semester fees is 53100. But in the first semester one has to pay 68800 out of which 5000 is refundable after completion of no dues. For students of scheduled caste and schedule tribe categories the tuition fees is not taken. from last year onwards the fees increasing. Institute also supports scholarship from Department of science and technology inspire program.

Campus Life

4.5

The name of the annual fest is ENTHUZIA. The first is organised by student activity council with prior approval from dean of student affairs. In this first white ranging activity sticks place and mainly a concert is organised by one of the social media influencers or singers. The face takes place in month of March mostly. The library is very good and has more than 50000 books and many journals available there. Also the thesis published by the students of IISER Bhopal is kept there. The institute has great sports facility because of which it has been securiting first place since 3 years in inter iiser sports meet.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel given to the first year students is recently built and was completed in 2023. Hence all the facilities that superb the students are kept in double occupancy. The rooms have three charging ports ,two LAN ports , a fan , two lamps, two cots, two almirahs etc. the mess menu is quite good and has all the type of Indian and western foods available

Admission

I also applied to other colleges but I choose Bhopal because of its unique legacy in research in the field I wanted to pursue. The admission is monitord by joint admission council and the admission test is held by one of the IISERs in June typically. To get a seat one has to secure the minimum of 60% in the iiser aptitude test.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 but depends heavily on the department one is talking about. Professor sir always appreciable in their respective academy offices in office hours . Mostly exams are held one cinema month and around 5 to 10% of people fail.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very research driven, and it is very flexible too. Course is as per the New Education Policy and is relevant to modern industrial needs. However the Curriculum is all around Pure Sciences, like the B.Sc but just the college is much better than a normal BSc college. First two year is given to students to get along with subjects that they want to study in future, in the third year they choose their Majors. Quizzes are frequent and occurs biweekly, while Exams occurs every month and so.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

We have a relatively better course structure, but what i think is IISER Pune has the most advanced sort of curriculum which gives them a better advantages and helps in their NIRF Ranking also. All the courses should be type of open elective.

According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.

Since IISER Bhopal is a research based institute, the placements here are not judged as in aspect of job placements after bachelor's degree, rather people here generally go for higher studies. But regardless the knowledge and experience gained here by people help them apply for any organisation off campus
