Course Curriculum Overview

4

In home science they teach you wide variety of things such as fashion designer, child psychology, about nutrition and diet , child development, hotel management, family management etc which makes us give us alot of options to choose from and later on realise what ur intrested and good at . I'm doing my three year program and there's no such thing called internship for us ,it's completely theory which makes us unable to learn things more practically. Instead of making it more about theory it's always best to make us do something more practical so we understand things better when it's done and if you learn theoretically you never know how to apply it in the real world. It's extremely hard to score no matter whatever the subject is . Even if you write exactly the same thing word by word in the book for ur exam they still cut your makes for no reason.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

As for my course there's isn't any internship programs as my course is three year program. But I have heard it's hard to get a internship as they say we lack experience and technical skills and the intership time given from the college will be around the time when we have college so we miss out the class and what they are teaching

Placement Experience

2

From your third year the placements start but it isn't that great as you have to work so hard and get paid less . You don't get paid what u deserve. There's only quite a few who gets thru placements and if u have supply/if u attempted any exams twice or more , it's hard to get the placement. My plan after getting my degree is to specialise in nutrition and dietics or i might end up specialising in pediatric nutritionist somewhere aboard.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 3010 a semester that is every six months and the exam fee is 1500 and students who are granded the e grand they only have to pay 400 a semester. As my course is aided, it is the cheapest course available compared to other courses that's available in my college. As for scholarships, there is few for the SC students etc.

Campus Life

3.5

We did have clubs for a long time but no of them is active yet. Our college started a new scheme where we have classes till 1:45 and then we will have skill development programs for two days and the rest two days we will have club activities to free our minds. The best of all the programs is the college day and the kalajada where students dress up as famous people according to the theam . As for library, we have a whole building as library with tons of books and and articles sobthe students can research. But there isn't much technological provisions within the classroom much .There's just a small television that they use it as projecter .They connect their laptops and show the ppts but it's too small the students can barley see. As for the sports sector and gym , it's only available for the sports students and there's nothing called sports for the other students where they can move around a bit

Admission

I applied and got into amritha , rajagiri,St Teresas but non of these colleges had what my college had. Students have the freedom to express who they are in our campus and we are free to express how we feel about things and we are important to them . The peacefulness and atmosphere you get in cms, you would never get it anywhere else I can assure you that . Cms accepts all kinds of students regardless of their age , cast , and gender. The college is well reputed and the allotment starts sooner than all the other colleges. We have around five allotments and it's extremely hard to get into our college.

Faculty

2.5

Compared to other departments ,there's less number of students in every classes and there's is even more less number of men in our department. Same goes for faculties. There only two teachers in charge of the ug program and 3 for the pg students. I will say the best one of the faculty in our department is ms.anjitha .she's really dedicated and hardworking and she genuinely wants the best for her students and does everything she can to make us reach out goal.shes really friendly and loving and more like our friend. She always has our back no matter what happens. As for ms .Veena, she does her job and she's really hard working but then she is someone who gossips among students and other facilities. She can be a bit two faced and she genuinely only cares about her job and she's really laid back she makes her students do most of the work. We have 2 exams in one semester that is the internals and the main and we have 5 subjects and the exams are moderate.

Other Applied Colleges

Rajagiri College of Social Sciences - [RCSS] | Bachelor of Social Work [BSW] {Hons.}

Because they reached out to me late as I already got admission at the current college I'm studying in.

From 5th semester you will be eligible for campus placements. Big banks like federal bank, south indian bank provide high placement package with the highest package being 60k per month. Other IT companies like Wipro, accenture, and deloit etc also provide high package placements.Almost 50 to 75 percent of students get placed after third year. My plan is if i get a good package I'll go for the placement or else I'll go for my masters degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
