All about NISER Bhubaneswar

The best part of NISER Bhubaneswar is that the great research exposure for physical sciences. the students after graduating from here to get into ETH Zurich , max planck Institute and great foreign university. Areas of improvement can be taking help of technology for visualizing different real life applications of physical sciences. In this summer I did a research internship with physics professor in niser itself. Throughout my internship I got exposed to real life research environmental. Mostly students to internships in labs of different professors throughout the country on research topics and problems.

Early I will be paying 20000 as tuition fee and 10000 as my hostel fee . Every student at NISER Bhubaneswar receive scholarship of 5000 per month from Department of atomic energy with annual grant of 20000 for research projects.

Mostly no big fest are conducted in NISER due to very high level academics maintained throughout the year. But there are many student run groups for conducting different extra curricular activities . The placement cell is also run by the students and one of our alumnis have recently founded an edtech startup

The hostel room is quite good for freshers. Niser Bhubaneswar every undergraduate student has to stay with another undergraduate student in a single room. The room has two cots , two tables one fan and charging points . The mess menu covers bahut mor than South Indian menu. The registration for the hostel is done on the day of admission itself

I choosed NISER because the courts I wanted to pursue is more strong here and also It directly comes under Department of atomic energy and I can get recommendation to DRDO for working as a scientist. The only way one can get into the institute is through national entrance cum screening test or NEST . After giving nest one have to select either this institute or University of Mumbai.

The teacher is to student ratio is around 1:10 because of lesser number of students enrolled here. Mostly 4 to 5 examinations per course is taken. Best to graded quiz marks are taken and rest with his given to mid semester and in semester examination. The letter grade and CGPA system is followed here. Still around 5% of a batch fails each year in a course.
