Likes

If you’re interested in sports this college provides you almost all types of outdoor sports facilities
As said the campus is comparatively small so interactions with students and seniors are more often as compared to other colleges
The infrastructure is fine as the semi government or government colleges have

Dislikes

Some of the classrooms needs proper aur conditioning
The canteen food is not up to the mark and it is not that value for money
There should be a night canteen also although The mess food is great hut need for night canteen is must

Course Curriculum Overview

The main exams happen two time only that are mids and end semester examinations. There is sufficient time to prepare for these exams as the consecutive quizes also make you ready for the exams as the quiz syllabus consists of some parts of mid and end semester examinations.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 168000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees is around 460000 for first year and like wise for the remaining years Tuition fees is approximately 143000 caution fees is nearly 9000-10000 same for development fees There is no such lab fees or other compulsory charges. According to me all the rest charges are already included in the academic fees. The fees of all the students studying here are same and equal irrespective of their caste or category. The scholarship program includes some of the schemes offered by the Bihar government .

Campus Life

There are many events that are annual sports fest , athletic meet, techinal fest , cultural fest along with some other small programs of music and dance. If you're interested in sports or athletics then there is a wide probability that you'll be making your name in the college

Admission

The reason i chose this college because it is very well reputed in the engineering field. Although i tried for Bit mesra Ranchi in which unfortunately i didn't qualify due to high cutoff. For applying here in Bit Patna you have to do well in 12th and Jee mains after which cutoff list is released by the college itself.

Faculty

There are sufficient well qualified faculties that are engaged with students for their wellfare . Faculty to student ratio is also great as one class of student at most comprises of 55-60 students at the time and this is just the upper limit case. The exam system consists of 1 quiz of 10marks followed by mid semester exam and then another wuiz of 10 marks followed by end semester examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
