Course Curriculum Overview

4

*I choose mechanical branch because it is a core branch and we can get into many Psu's through this branch. *I think mechanical engineering is the real engineering branch where we do some physical labour. *The curriculum prepares us for the real world by making us do everything practically. The lab classes and workshops prepares us for the real-world.

Internships Opportunities

4

*I am not that much known to internship program of my college as I am a 1st semester student. *Our college students has a lot of opportunities for internship program.Even the 1st year students can join internship and make money through stipend. *It is compulsory for 2nd year students to atleast do one internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus Life

5

*The name of cultural festival of our college is Electrica. There are many other fests too. *The book range is not very vast but it still has a wide range of books. *The classrooms have blackboard and a smart board and are non-ac.where as center communication centre building is Fully air-conditioned. *This college is very awesome for sports and extracurricular activities you can play every sports and can join many clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4

*The inside facilities of room includes ceiling fan, table, chair, book shelf, almirah. *Meal quality is average, sometimes oily food is served. The food consists of breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, dinner. *You can register for hostel facility at the time of admission. The hostel is affordable but availability of Hostel is very low. *For 1st year students only 400 seats are available in hostel in which 75% is reserved for other state students and 25% is reserved for home state students.

Admission

*I didn't opted for other colleges though I had cleared comedk ,mhtcet, cgpet, viteee, uni-guage and many other exams because this college is the best among them. *NIT RAIPUR is a central institute which is very promising, providing best placements. So,it was never an option for me but it was only choice for me.

Faculty

2.5

*The faculty to student ratio is good. *The relationship between faculty and students is friendly but in few subjects the faculties just threaten students by saying that they will cut self assessment marks of students. *The communication skills faculty is too good and friendly. His name is Mr.Anil manjhi. He is pro in his domain. He explains everything with real life examples. *The lab assistant and the Mtech scholars in lab classes are too good and supportive. *Apart from them I don't understand any profesor teaching. *THERE are 2 exams per semester.first one is mid sem and second one is end sem.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl, bhel, bhel, reliance, catterpillar, eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Microtex, HCL, Wipro and many other IT companies gives us research projects and also their work as well. So, we basically have indirectly worked for them and the ones they feel can add more to their organization comes with a clear mind and take us with a package that we expect them to. So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
