Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Mbbs curriculum in india is all under NMC guideleines. The currivulum is more clinical oriented which increases our practical knowledge and skills helping us to excell in the field of medicine.Usually the exam such as the internals occurs once in everg 2months which usually lasts for 1week which also have practical exams and its usually conducted continuously without study leave which makes it hectic. However there is enough prepratory leave for final university exam.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I am currently in 2nd year so i am not eligible for internship until final year so i wont be able to currently give exact information regarding the intwrnship facilities. However the compulsory internship of mbbs which is of 1year is done at yenepoya hospital.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements depends on your final narks that you score in final year.howevwr there is no unemployment issue for anyone of them passing out from here as the certificate of yenepoya medical college is highy valued during job. Also most of the doctors passed out from here are well known to be excelled in the field of medicine

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fee for mbbs students through neet counselling allotment in management quota is 22lakh per year..however in final year the fee is 12lakh.There is also stipend of 15k per month during the internship year which keeps increasing different year. However through karnataka counseling (KEA) if u apply and if you have a mark range of above 600 your fee would be 3lakh per year only for course fee and besides the course fee there is a charge of 2lakh per year for hostel fee which totals 5lakh for this category. For NRI quota the fee is 35lakh per year incluidng the hostel fee.

Campus Life

3.5

In last one year of my college we have had so many programmes which includes one the best event was the culturals which lasted for 3days.There are so many frequest inter college sports events. There are also other literature and art events too.We do have many clubs where students can join according to their interest

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There would be 4 beds in one room. Its well equipped with ac ,personal closets and there is attached washrooms for every rooms.Hostel mess foods quality is said to be average. The fee is however included in the fee package and need not be paid seperately.Renting a room is usually not prefered as the hostel rooms are a necessity for medical students

Admission

I chose this college as its one of the best college in karnataka and yenepoya hospital have more than 1000meds which shows its adverse patient exposure which makes learning more easy and help to excell in becoming a very good doctor

Faculty

4

We have enough faculties for every department and they are very experienced and well qualified teachers. One of my favourite teacher is Dr.Meera maam whonis currently the head of the department. Her way of teaching is very unique and is understandable for all students.Faculties are all approachable in terms of all academic matters. There are 3internals besides the final university exam. The level of exams are considered to be moderate.Usually 20%of the class fails in exams however there is 80%pass.The curriculum is all under NMCguidelines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
