Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS course for a period of 5.5 years is very hectic and tireing . We have classes everyday except Sunday . Also , we have to cover 18 subjects which are very vast and required specialized skills to learn .

Internships Opportunities

5

The mandatory 1 year internship program is offered here in Yenepoya Medical College where we have rotational internship between all departments of the Hospital. We get a chance to interact with the patients

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees - 18,50,000 Total fees - 84,00,000 It is increasing yearly since it is a deemed There is not other fees as hostel charges are included in the tuition fees. The university provides a discount for early payment of next year fees which would range from 5-10% of the total fees . Also , various scholarships are awarded based on catergories but since I was a generals student , I didn't get any discount

Campus Life

5

Overall , the campus is excellent and vast . Our boys hostel is situated within the campus and we have to walk for 10 minutes to reach the campus. Bus connectivity is also excellent . Overall , the infrastructure is good here

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facility is very excellent and the mess food is moderately good . Since they provide non veg 3 times a week , it is more comfortable compared to other colleges in the country. Overall , it is okay

Admission

I choose this college because it has good education standards compared to other colleges . Also , the hospital patient amount are more in this college and they are much need for any medical student . For this , I chose this college

Faculty

5

The faculty in Yenepoya medical college is very educated and they know how to teach the students from basics . The student teacher interactions are excellent and the syllabus is covered in a good way .

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept
