My campus was awesome, surrounded with mountains, river and trees. I improvement i thought which could have saved the time of student was the introduction of e rickshaw inside the campus for coming out of the campus area.
I completely enjoyed studying in SMIT. I also scored good because i was happy there. The environment is the first factor which makes student feel so fresh. Every student here has the equal opportunity to get placed for the job.

Dislikes

Nothing is there to dislike about SMIT. My campus stands out in every aspects.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBA course which is serves in SMIT is very practical and ultimately talks about the development of the business. Every modules in all the subjects ultimately talks about the growth and improvement of the business. This type of precise syllabus helps a lot to a student after the course completion. It prepares one for the real market and job.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities gives a large area to explore in SMIT. Sikkim is a home to many big companies thus internship becomes very interesting. Pharma companies, hydro companies, beverages, cosmetics company and many more. I did my internship in a bank covering many interesting topics.

Placement Experience

Placements are good through SMIT. The last semester deals with the placements processes. Our campus has placed the student in company like "Google". Almost 70? of the students gets the placements. I have visited 2 big companies during my placement process.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Yearly fees - Rs. 1,20,000. Tuition fees paid quaterly was Rs. 30,000. Admission fee- Rs. 25,000 So total cost was Rs. 2,40,000+25000. I received the scholarship and government paid half of my tuition fee.

Campus Life

I enjoyed a lot in SMIT. Along with a precise and dedicated syllabus our campus believed in refreshments, sports and extra curricular activities. Keeping body fit along with mind is very important. We have an annual feat which is called "Kalrav", its basically a musical night program.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are pretty decent with all the basic facilities. Good bed, table and chair, wardrobe, table lighting, geezer for the shower. Each room in hostel has two beds. Very comfortable room for two person. I enoyed a lot staying. Good nourishing food, taste might vary for different people but the quality was always good. Taste was also awsome for me.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

After my graduation i applied for MBA at SMIT. I always thought to study here. It has a reputation of job placements. All the average student studying here hets placed to different companies. And student here dont go below average. Below average students grows themselves after coming to SMIT.

Faculty

My faculty members were very talented and supportive. Very well informed and trained. Every teaching members knows their roles very well. We had two main semesters in a year and 4 sessional test in every semester.

Interview Experience

I went through all the required criteria for the selection. First GD, written test and personal interview. Few get rejected too. I joined for MBA program and my graduation degree was of BBA. Thus it was little expected for me to get through the selection process.

Placement Experience:

About the campus placement they give us placement but not of huge packages. The salary package comes out around 2.50 LPA till 3.50 LPA. Just the chosen few get big packages. The highest package offered was around 10LPA. Most of the students here don't opt for placement as in Sikkim people believe that government jobs are better and choose to do government jobs instead of opting for placement from colleges.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester we become eligible for campus placement. Hdfc bank, Ramada hotel, Torrent, Sun pharma, lenskart are the few companies. The highest package was 100000 and the average package is 250000. Any students can get placement if they are smart enough but the minimum is 5 cgpa. After getting the degree , I'll go for interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

making the decision when you go to the higher class its very important to say that what specialisation is to be choosen and to complete the course in honrably. As i have choosen the MBA in HR eairler it was very difficult subject i have faced but i have work heard and form cooperation with the faculty i have do it well and i have realy enjoy the world of management The frequency and timing of the exams are very accordance with the curriculum / syllbus point of view . and there are 4 types of difficulty levels .

Placement Experience:

In the 4th semester, students could appear for placement in the campus interview. At that time many companies has come in which the IT sector, Retail sector, and Automobile sector were prominent. At least 80% of the students were selected and for those who were not, most students had their businesses and goals. Like I was also selected for the Export House before completing my MBA.

Remarks:

Near to my hometown, reputed and recognised college. Things that I like about the college is it's facilities for students such as 24hour electricity and wifi in the hostel, hot water facility. Most important safe and strict rules for both girls and boys. Other facilities like swimming, tennis, basket ball, gym, etc are available for the students.

A journey from being a reserved girl to a bold and successful lady.

Remarks:

Best University for those who gives priority for standard life and also they have efforts to have the strong academic. Which wouldn't have been possible if I was not supported by my family, completing studies while working is really a great independent path for one’s best career. A beautiful period of 3 years where I learnt new things at each and every moment which really helped to lead a successful HR. Many people have a mindset that distance education doesn’t value were you don’t have enough wisdom, but they are wrong you actually responsible for you studies were you’re a professor of your own through online classes, study materials and many more. A path which not only made me strong academically but also made me a standard person were I can easily deal with any situation.

Everyone wants to get the best they can achieve the same goes for a person who aspires to become an engineer. Everyone who wants to become an engineer wants to get into the top colleges in the country and by engineering, we think of only one thing IIT's. Same goes for me I wanted to get into an IIT and complete my college. But when I started studying for it I realized why it is so difficult to get into it.
