Likes

The students and faculty are very friendly
lot of facilites for students to enjoy and have fun
amazing celebrations during festivals and insane programs

Dislikes

hostels are a bit run down but adjustable
curfew timings are present and you cant go out after 11 pm
food can be a bit disappointing sometimes

mostly all subjects are relevant to the course taken and labs are a great way to learn phy or programming and as for real life experiences, if you were to take a core company placement, then it will have the most impact

Internships Opportunities

As a 1st year student, I have very less knowledge on the internship opportunities or stipend but i did hear that campus internships are very good and are worth your time. the final sem's project is also taken from what you've done in your internship you can visit various IITS, Big MNC's etc.,

Placement Experience

Campus placemets are great, As of year 2023, NITW has a campus placemet of about 90% in the course of EEE and similarly in other courses also with very generous packages of around 20 lakhs per annum and above

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee: 62500 per semester Hostel fee: 31000 per semester Fee remission provided based on reservation and income if you are SC/ST/PwD or your family income is less than 1 LPA Tuition fee is free If income is between 1 to 5 LPA 1/3rd of tuition fee is only to be paid

Campus Life

Campus life is fun, NITW is filled with various clubs and programs, festivals and many more! We have sports based competitions, inter NIT sports, dance programs, drama, music, instruments, quizzes and many such fun activities

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are adjustable, rooms are good but the washrooms, not so much, some are actually good but in some floors of 1.8k, given to B.Tech 1st year and M.tech as well, the washrooms are pretty bad tbh but are adjustable Staff is moderately cooperative

Hostel Fee: INR 31000 per year

Admission

NITW is a very old college, filled with alumni and popular among many companies, Has great placements, Great Average packages, and has the potential to compete with most of the lower tier IITS as well

Faculty

Our faculty members are amazing, although mostly they just read ppts, they are knowledgeable and are skilled in their profession There are minor exams, Mid sem exams and End sem exams for 10, 30, 40 marks respectively NITW follows absolute Grading system form the year 2024 and onward

Decent college with good facilities

Placement Experience:

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum of our college runs under the guidance of JNTU where all the fundamentals such as DSA ,program,data base and CN also core math are given in this college divides the conceptual,lessons in 5 units .for each unit we have submit assignment unit test and also an ALP which is concentrated on learning ,mechanisam which help student revise the concept in class itself.In terms of real world the curriculum builds the theoritical, knowledge but somewhat limited exposure where students should have get internships for an industry level experience or else atleast a entry level jobs help the students to learn as well.Area of improvement include more hands- on project works and more interactive teaching methods Like case studies and problem ,based, learning. Exams are regularly for 2 mid term for semester and one end semester exam.the difficulty level is moderate and manageable with consistent and study and focusing more on understanding concepts rather than rote learning

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester itself students are eligible for placement drives if they pay for the placement training classes , internship drives start from 5th semester and training classes go on for students every week , from 7th semester drives on different job roles start and the placed percentage of students right now is about 30 to 40 percent and drives are still going on but correct training and correct opportunities more needs to be provided

An Honest Overview of My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very Passionate about Computer Science. So I joined Information Technology which is the same as CSE. Information technology mostly offers the same opportunities as CSE in VNRVJIET. So, I preferred IT in VNRVJIET. In VNRVJIET, Hyderabad faculty: student ratio is approx 1:40 which is considered as Average ratio. Most of the Faculty are PHD Graduates but there are less number of Professors. Mostly there are Assistant Professors whose Teaching Methodology is average to Good but not rated as Better in terms of Teaching. Professors are good at Teaching but Some Assistant Professors are not as good as we expected. There are mostly newly joined PHD faculty members were there who will teach in a slow manner. Every 5-6 months we have Semester Exams which are mostly easy to pass if we have somewhat knowledge of the subject.
