My college and hostel in Mizoram

The course i chhose allows me to choose a minor subject between zoology and botany..i choose zoology as I'm more interested in it. In biotechnology we studied many things like cells and microbiology. It is a wonderful subject but there is still not much work in Mizoram for biotechnology.

Pachhunga university college is among the best colleges in North East India . The fee structure is also cheaper than all colleges in other states . We pay based on the semester that we're in , and 6000 rupees cover one semester fee . There is no discrimination of otger categories or anything. The college provides hostel and since it is a Central institution the outsiders (outside mizoram) are more cared for. During these 3years of college we can also apply for scholarship in the first year , kn which we get 80000 yearly.

The college have a college week in which we choose a mister and miss for the college. We also have a cultural day once in three years. There are all kinds of books present in the library from literature to sciences. And there is a digital section which allows us to used computer freely. There are a variety of clubs like, tennis, music, red ribbon, green ribbon,chess, literature, evangelical union ,drama club, adventure club and many more. These clubs are all taken care of by students

The hostel provides chair, bed and a table. It also provide hotpot,and hot iron . The hostel rooms are in good condition we have one roommate each. It is cheaper than any other hostel. The quality of meal is not that bad but its not that good. We stayed inside the college campus which makes it easir to go to college even if we doesn't have a ride.

I applied for zirtiri residencial science college which i get direct admission. I didn't get rejected by any other college since there is only two science college in aizawl . I choose this over that college because it is among the best colleges in North East India and is better in facilities and teaching from my research. As I've said the fee structure is cheaper and to get admission we need to have written exam to get accepted. There is no cutoff marks and the best students to score highest are selected.

There are many teachers which I don't know so , ill be talking about only those that are in our department. I'm from department of biotechnology so most of our teachers are non mizo. Sometimes their accent is difficult to understand however they tried their best abd are easy to approach. They cared too much and teaches us even if it's outside the course which we doesn't feel like we needed. The teacher i liked most is miss sangsangi ... she's caring, she doesn't give up or lose hope on the students even if they continuously failed ...she keeps on encouraging them and helping us all through. The teacher i dont like most is sir Babu, although his teaching is nice and easy to understand but there is something wrong with him that i don't think is appropriate to tell .
