Placement Experience:

There are no such final placements. Most of the students opt for Government Jobs wherein they give examinations for that. There are not much companies in Mizoram to be known. There are entrepreneurs but mostly people opt for government jobs and teaching line.

life in PUC

Likes

the big campus which gives us a peace of mind
the library which have countless books and resources
the sport complex which have all the necessary grounds

my college is the best in the region and it is also very close to me. as for the major that i choose i belive that my college has the best faculty. the curriculum is very good apart from the major and minors it teaches us human values and also communication processes

Brief review on Pachhunga University College

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really nice as it is the biggest in mizoram and the college is covered with forest and green aroun 70% of it.
The teachings given by the faculty is also really good, as the best in the state are employed in this college, the professors also give good career guidance
Our quality of life is superb in our college, and it is really easy to have social interaction as most of the students hang around the college campus and restaurants and cafes near the college

Dislikes

The college is under construction so it is always very dusty outside the classroom and near places where construction work is done
The faculty sometimes dont use the mic they are provided in the class, and it may cause some trouble for people with hearing problem, but we can always request them to use it
The college area is big and wide so it is exhausting to go around the college with foot

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are no specific aspects of the curriculum that made me chose this course. I was just generally intrested in the subject so i just chose it, and it will help me future on in job examinations as political science is always an important subject. The course prepares us well for real world and with the help of the faculties. Cat 1 examinations are held at the 2nd or 3rd month of each semester, cat 2 exams are held at the 3rd or 4th month of each semester, and university exams are held at the 5th month prolonging upto the 6th month of the semester

The Life at Pachunga University College

Likes

I liked that most of the faculty are highly qualified one of my professor graduated from IIT Guwahati and also that the teachers teaching method are very helpful we can go anytime to them if we have any doubt
I liked that the the college has alot of clubs like chess club, mathematics clubs etc
I liked that it conducts alot of fest and seminars

Dislikes

The hostel food can be a little hard for outsiders but it is manageable
It would be good if we had a proper clean the hostel only nothing more the other areas are very clean
We regularly have CCA but it doesn't have that much fun in it

I chose this course because I was interested in this subject physics.The teaching method are good I don't think it needs any improvement it is in the students from here the teacher have done well .The frequency of exam is 1 per 2 months I think

I really like the building , the place, the library and most importantly there are many trees in our college and i really like it. It is very wide and most importantly for introvert people there are many quite place to go and relieve themselves .
There are many teachers who teach very nicely and interesting so like it very much.Some teachers also used materials to teach us and that is very nice.I really appreciate some of my teachers for their hardwork and dedication to teach us .I felt nice.
The students they selected are very competitive because they only select the top student who score good marks .

Dislikes

There are many activities and clubs they take so much of our time . This really disapoint me .And wha I really dislike is that the college library bathroom is very dirty .they didn't clean it like for months, and the college lack water too.
Some of our teacher don't know how to teach at all. They only know how to scold and humiliate student in front of everyone besides teaching . They don't really care what student is going through in their family and what problem we have in our life.
Many teachers give materials to print out, and it really waste our money because in every subject we need to print it out all the materials.

I think it is perfect. I take chemistry because I really wanted to become pharmacist but due to financial reasons I couldn't do that , so I took chemistry and I think I did a great job that I took this course.

The best college in northeast

Likes

I like most about puc is the greenery of the campus
There are one canteen each for science and arts preventing overcrowded
There is a large parking area for each departments

Dislikes

The classroom fans not covering the whole classroom
There is a little extracurricular activities

The zoology course helps me a lot in discovering and improving my learning experience and ours professors are very good in there subjects.There is no spoon feeding and works are usually assigned to the students

My college and hostel in Mizoram

The teachers are friendly, and it is easy to interact with the people around us.
The hostel fee is cheaper than any other hostel around.

Dislikes

The accent of some teachers are hard to catch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i chhose allows me to choose a minor subject between zoology and botany..i choose zoology as I'm more interested in it. In biotechnology we studied many things like cells and microbiology. It is a wonderful subject but there is still not much work in Mizoram for biotechnology.

My course is chemistry and it is good,we study two chemistry, chemistry major and chemistry minor it is good the professors are quite qualified, about the exams the first internal test conduct after 1 month of the college start date and finals are conducted after 5 months.
