My experience

College is situated in a very amazing and scenic location. Admission starts in the month of June-July. It is published in local dailies and NIELIT Kohima FB group and page. The admission process is very simple and easy. They don't accept cash, only digital or card payment is accepted. I chose this institute because this was the only Institute having BCA in Kohima.

I wanted to do BCA and it was the only Institute in Kohima for pursuing BCA. Student intake is ver less so student-teacher ratio is also good. Faculties are well qualified enough to teach BCA and Diploma In CSE students along with other allied IT long term and short term courses. Degree Exams are held according to Nagaland University rules.

Our seniors have been placed through off-campus placement in companies like Wipro/TCS etc. Some even got into the government sector. Most students go for Higher studies. NIELIT Kohima also provides support for Alumni students to get a job here in the institute also. I sure will be going for MCA after completing from here.

After joining In 2018 Fee was hiked twice, but very minimal hike. For my 5th sem, due to pandemic 25% discount was given. Scholarship can be applied for state/national scholarship policies depending on your category.

The campus is 6 km away from Kohima town. It is located in a scenic place. The campus is big enough for the number of students having all facilities like free wifi, cafeteria, both girls and boys hostel, water, staff quarters and guest house also. No tech fests or college fests held here. All kinds of Books related to IT and Degree courses are easily available in the library and different journals are also found. Classrooms are big and spacious, well fitted and equipped. Annual sports are held here and students are allowed to participate in college events of other colleges.

The hostel is well equipped with Wifi and water facility. Meal quality is just like any other hostel. Hostel seat is easily available since there aren't many students. Both girls and boys hostel is inside the campus. Hostel fees are as minimal as 5000 per semester and mess fees must be below 2500. Renting is also available nearby, but it's best to stay in the hostel of you're new here.

Admission is based on merit, but when the number of students applied crosses 60 then Entrance test is taken.
