Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course cuz the curriculum includea almost everything. Nothing could ever prepare someone for real world applications until unless you step out in the real world itself. The rush before the exams. I wish the teachers would manage it better. The first semester was horrible due to this. The end term exams start almost after a month of mid terms which makes the semester end exam quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

The college usually provides internship to various exports houses and designers. But the students here usually find themselves a better internship then the one provided here. This is totally based on what my seniors have told me cuz I haven't done any internship yet.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay fee semester wise which is 75000. Which equals to 150000 for a year. So, it's 600000 for the whole of four year of my graduation program. Everyone pays the same amount. There's no internal scholarship at all. The students are aided by their respective State government.

Campus Life

Only major festivals are celebrated here. No fests are organised unlike other colleges. So it gets boring tbh. There's no library here but yeah the teachers have fashion magazines under their possession so you could ask em to lend you. The course is mostly practical so there's not much technical aspects here but yeah we have a computer lab for CAD. Sports day is held here. And we have a department activity day where we watch fashion related documentaries and take part in fun activities. There are no student run groups here.

Admission

The only reason for choosing this college was the fees here is much more affordable in comparison to other collegs. And also GKFTII is an academic wing of T-Series. So, trusting the name of T-Series, I chose this college. There's not much to get addmission here. You just need to meet the people at admission department. They will let you through everything.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:27 for my batch. The faculty here is quite good and friendly. The professor for garment construction is my favourite professor here. He's very supportive. Other professors are fine too.

In college, we used to get many facilities which are necessary for a student. In every way, our school manager sir and other teachers used to cooperate very well so that the children do not face any problem. The children liked their style of teaching very much. Amity is not as bad as you might think.

Placement Experience:

From the third year you're eligible for campus placement. The placement is not that great as of now since asft is pretty new and they're still fetching companies but there are options. The campus placement advisors are pretty great and helpful. And even if you don't find campus placement, there are a lot of openings now for the same since fashion designing has become pretty popular since the last few years

Reality Of Joining NIFT As A Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interested in footwear design and then lifestyle goods so I opted for leather design. 8 teachers: 29 students in the leather department and 1 lab assignment and also taught by industrial designers. Good quality of education with an upgraded method which is very much practical with the trend. in 6 months I.e in 1 semester = midterm(30) + end term (30) + final jury exam (40). It is a continuous evaluation of a project in which one should present everything in the final jury exam.

College with industry exposure

The good thing about college is that we get industry exposure there, we learned from industry experts, but the library and sports facilities were not there. The admission process is one of the easiest, the college is affiliated with Noida international University, only after the interview with the senior faculty, we get admission in college. Every news channel is just a few steps away from the college which makes it different from others because we get industry exposure easily and we meet with industry experts easily, and the big thing is that it is a branch of the T-Series educational wing.
