Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have taken bsc mathematics so it is purely an application based course. But my critical thinking skills and approach to problems have become better. The training that they give in mathematics here is unmatched. They could include allied computer science or programming to actually apply these concepts but overall it is good.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As stated earlier I have not yet graduated but from what I have heard it is pretty good. Considering the stipend I have no idea but honestly it depends on the skill set of a person and also the amount of work they put in. It will differ

Placement Experience

3

I have not yet graduated but as far as I have seen placement opportunities are pretty good. My seniors have been placed in various companies earning a decent salary. Not as much as engineering colleges but in the end it depends on the individual's skill set.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is 2 shifts in my college. First one being shift 1 which is aided and the few structure is lesser compared to shift 2 which is self financed. Shift 1 is selected based off merits and only a few courses have shift 2. There are scholarships provided for shift 2 in case of financial need as well. The tuition fee differs based on your stream and the registration fee is 500 per application

Campus Life

5

My college is very much focused on academics as well as the cultural aspects. There are over 20 clubs performing and non performing along with student training like ncc nss and games. Every other day we have aluminis or big names coming to give us a talk on various topics spreading awareness or empowering us

Admission

I did get accepted into other colleges but the fee structure was too high. Initially I wanted to do engineering but every engineering college wasn't affordable. So my dad suggested that I should do bad mathematics and a msc degree to get the same feel of engineering. This college is also affordable. It's a girls college so I thought it is more peaceful and safer. And it was also one among the highest nirf rankings

Faculty

5

The faculty in college are very approachable and kind. My college gives alot of importance to mental health and alot of awareness is created so faculty is also very understanding. The marking schemes don't differ alot from other colleges. We have internal marks which include components and test worth 50 marks and sem exam which we will write for 100 marks will be worth 50 marks. All together gives you your overall marks. The semester exams are pretty easy if you study and the syllabus enhances your knowledge alot. If you do fail an exam the arrear exam is pretty easy to clear.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.
