Likes
- The labs here are really good. You will find a great number of instruments and machinery available.
- We have regular fests held every year so the environment is quite engaging for the students and it's a quite happening campus.
- The faculties are highly educated here and they help you in academic problems here. They are friendly and see the real potential in the students.
Dislikes
- Ece department does not have a building of its own and students have to face a lot of problems roaming here and there in order to attend classes.
- The hostel maintenance is not good .Even after telling multiple times no one actually cares.
- Tthe internet facility in the hostel is not upto the mark and you have to beg for network sometimes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was quite interested in how materials are chosen for a particular product. The testing and complications that come in the way are of great value to me. Furthermore I am happy as I get to implement my theoretical knowledge through the labs that we have each day in the second half of the classes. So this helps in the real world application and problem that come in the way.
Internships Opportunities
Internship are provided and is quite good for students availing the computer science branch and is also good for electrical and electronics branch. For the core branches it is a bit less. But for placements this is not a big problem and almost everyone who works hard gets it done.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid an amount of 86,400 has my tution fees for this semester along with a hostel fee of 15,500 rupees. The mess charges are separarte and is 25,000. Mu category is general and I do not avail any kind of scholarship from the state or the institute so this is the actual amount that any normal student without fee waiver has to pay.
Campus Life
We have Maffick as the cultural fest of our college and Technosearch as our Technical fest. Both are organised to a quite good extent and students from all over the country participate in it. We even have workshop held during that phase.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is average. Meals are okayish and can be eaten.Its just that hostels need a bit of maintenance as one of the girls hostel is quite old but otherwise it is ok. You can go for a rented room nearby if you want because there are a lot of rooms available nearby.
Admission
I applied for Nit Jaipur but couldn't get into it due to the reverse domicile criteria that applies to students of Rajasthan due to Kota being a huh of a number if scoring students take the percentile higher rather than lowering it. Our admission process is quite doable and step by step so students do not face any issues.
Faculty
The faculties are helpful.For our department there are around 10 faculties and wry also have a lot of phd scholars assisting the faculties in the lab work.They tok are quite helpful.There are three exams held which are mini,mid and end term exams along with internal markings done regularly.
