Likes
- The college has a very good location of campus and can be easily reached.
- The teaching staff is good and will do everything they can to help you in anything you need, atleast most of them.
- They have pretty spacious auditoriums and good sports fields and courts for all the sports.
Dislikes
- The fests and functions held here are very less.
- Most of the teachers lack experience when it comes to teaching.
- Infrastructure needs to be improved a little bit, but it's fine.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum we are using is set by VTU Belgavi so it is pretty old or outdated one. So we find it hard to implement our subject knowledge in real world applications and interviews. They can change the curriculum a little bit and make it bit more relatable to the real world.
Internships Opportunities
There are some good oppurtunities we get as internships which are offered to us from the placements department. Most of the companies give stipend and some companies only provide offer letter and experience. We can choose the internship topic of our own liking and get to do Hands on work experience with some major projects.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty good in our college and students become eligible for placements from the ending of the 6th semester. There are many companies that visit the college and the average CTC is around Rs. 4,50,000. This year the basic CTC starting from Rs. 3,00,000 and the highest package is Rs. 31,00,000. There is total percentage of more that 70% students getting placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got into the college through KCET exam so I pay a yearly fees of Rs. 1,00,000 which comes to a total of around Rs. 4,00,000 to Rs. 4,20,000 including all the tution, caution, labs, development and admission fees. For my friends who came through management quota to CS course they need to pay a fees of Rs. 4,00,000 to Rs. 5,00,000 which comes to a total of Rs. 16,00,000 or Rs. 20,00,000. There are many scholarships which are provided by the college but I haven't applied any so I have very little idea about it.
Campus Life
The social life in our is pretty great, as we get breaks between classes we can interact with other students. The events and fests that happen in our college are fun to attend and is well organized. The library is accessible to everyone and we get to access all the book we need and they are well organized. The sports courts are pretty good so we get to pursue all our passion on sports if we require it. There are bot technical and Non-technical clubs here and I was the Head of one the clubs called CCA (Center for Cognitive Activities).
Admission
Since I got the college through KCET, I had applied to many other colleges but for my ranking which was 11,000 in 2021 this was the college that I got for Computer Science discipline. After getting alloted this college the admission process was very simple and just showing up with required documents was enough.
Faculty
There is a faculty for every 50 students, and all of the teachers have a very good relationship with the students. There are 3 internal assessment exams every semester and one external exam at the end of the the semester which is conducted by VTU Belgavi.The exams are a bit tough but are not very hard to clear so most of the students pass the exam.
