Life at NGP

From my schooling, I was interested in computer science engineering. Here we have smart class rooms for teaching. This is actually easy for me to understand the concepts and convenient for taking notes. For a semester we will be having 2 internal examinations and 2 MCQ examinations. MCQ's will be conducted in laboratory. Internal examinations are quite easy to clear. The semester question paper is unpredictable.

I attended internship during my 4th semester holidays. I attended a paid internship at codebind Technologies which is located at Gandhipuram. I was trained in the domain of web development. I also had seminar there. I was also assigned tasks. I received 5 certificates after completing my internship there. It's worth for the money.

They start placement training for us during the 5th semester. The companies like Zoho, Capgemini, cognizant visit our college for recruitment. 95% of our college students get placed. The average package is 4.5 LPA and the highest package is 14 LPA

My first year college fees was Rs.1,27,000 and in additon to faculty concession of Rs.3000 i paid Rs.1,24,000. Hostel fees for my first year was Rs.86,000. for the second year the college and hostel fees was Rs.1,27,000 and Rs.90,000 respectively. currently my third year college fees is Rs.1,32,000. For the third year i had vacated my college hostel and i'm currently staying at PG.

Our college conducts Pongal celebration and techfest during the month of January. They also conduct henosis in between the months of February to April. Hackathons are also conducted. There are totally 17 clubs. Now a huge library has been arranged at the basement floor of D block which has huge availability of books and journals.

There are many PGs around the college which can be rented with or without food. For the first 2 years I was staying at college hostel. There are two hostels for girls. Malligai and mullai. I was staying in malligai. The rooms are cleanly maintained. The hostel rules are very strict and the fine amount is unfair at times. Food at the hostel is good.

I joined this college in Management quota. I first had an idea of applying for counselling. But I was not sure if I could get CSE in a good college for my cutoff. Currently the cutoff for CSE in my college is above 170.

I'm a student of CSE department. The faculty ratio to student is sufficent. The faculties in my department are very supportive in case of improving us. They guide us during our participation in seeking funding proposals,hackathon, paper presentation and more. we have 2 internal examinations and 2 mcq for every semester. The Question paper is hard at very few times. eventhough the question paper is hard we will be able to get good grades.
