DR. NGPIT walks the talk

Our course has no excuses as it is fully appropriate to make us the best IT engineering college of TN. Also our college is among the top 100 colleges of India. So course is without an iota of doubt the best in class and best in business which makes us future ready for sure.

I am in my final year and this is also our placement year. So IT engineering branch doesn't have placements as good as CSE or AI&DS but still we have a placement percentage of over 80%. Avarage package of our branch is currently 6 lakhs around.

Fees at our college is 1.2 lakhs a year for general category while for SC/Sat students it is half of it as Tamil Nadu Government has scholarship schemes for them. Also, Covid Warriors students get 20% scholarship and likewise for all we have fees covered in some or the other way. For hostels though there is no lay off unless you have enrolled under EWS as the fees is 1.05 lakhs a year for it.

Fests and all are happening here 3 times in each semester. As every department plan their schedule accordingly. Now coming to the things that our college has, we have three computer labs and mechanical and AI labs as well. We also have three canteens out of which one is in our block B. We also have many societies that work not just for engineering interest but social interest as well.

Our hostel has a 3 seater ac rooms and has attached washroom as well. There are common washrooms too on each floor. Food during day time we have the message in which boys eat but evening snacks and night dinner we have to do in our mess.

Admission process is quite simple quotas are there like 10% management quota and 90% through merit. So on merit Tamil Nadu Board students or state board students have different cut-off while CBSE and ICE have a different cut-off.

Exams at our college are happening under the nose of our faculties as in 1st year the marks are sent from the college and after that it's the university that send papers. Our faculties male sure that they make us prepared for the exams much before and it has happened that our results have always been close to 80% every semester.

My favourite is the Yellow Hut and the ice-cream parlour close to it. I have seen students of all class in study room and it is opened till 7 pm at the campus and in our hostel campus our study area is available for us till 10 pm.
