Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum offers a comprehensive and all round coverage of different aspects related to the theory and application of subject matter of each subject. The course structure is as per the traditional and modern trends in the Indian legal system and offers students the benefit of both textual and practical learning.

Internships Opportunities

4

I haven't secured any internship as i am in my first year of learning. As per my knowledge, semester wise internships are provided by the college to the interested candidates who have made a decent CV for themselves.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements here are good provided you really put in great anount of work and gain experience within your 5 years journey of law school. The average placement here ranges from 8-10 lakhs per annum with the highest packages touching 20 lakh per annun mark. Generally the college provides on campus placement to the eligible candidates at the end of 5th year. However as such only the top 10-15% of the crowd is placed decently.Lucrative PPO's are secured by many students in different law firms and companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total course fee for 5 year BA LLB is around 21 lakhs emester wise two installmetns are to be given each ranging around 2 lakhs. Academic(merit-based) scholarships are given to the top performers of semester exams. The college may increase the fee every successive year(not more than 10%) as it may deem to according to the changing economic conditions of the educational sector.

Campus Life

3

As mentioned earlier, you will not really get a feel of college life here as the campus is small with no playgrounds or fields. However there is a canteen where you can eat meals and be seated comfortably. Adjacent to the canteen is a snall open green garden where you can spend your freetime with friends. SLS conducts annual fest Symfiesta where you can showcase your talents and enjoy.

Admission

SLS Noida was anyday a better option for me as it has great advantage due to it's proximity to the Delhi NCR area where major corporate offices and MNC's are located. Moreover it's close to the supreme court, high court and different disctrict courts where you can intern and get adept to practical knowledge. SLS Nodia takes students on the basis of a candidate's performance in the SLAT exam along with the Personal Interview round. It publishes a merit list for fir the same.

Faculty

4

Majority of the course teachers are easily approachable and have decent level of teaching skills. They employ both traditional and modern teaching methods. As far as the subjects are concerned, BA LLB includes sociology, history, ethics, history ,law of contracts, law of torts and english(preliminary aspects covered) for 1st semester. The exam system is a little bit complicated where namely 3 Internal continuous evaluations are designed to test the candidate's knowledge regarding different subjects and one main term end examination is held which is circulated by Symbiosis Pune. The narks of all these 4 are taken into account before calculating your CGPA.

Interview Experience

3.5

To get into the college you need to give the SLAT exam.It is a 60 marker paper which tests your analytical, logical, legal, english and general knowledge. Further you need to appear for the Interview round and prepare perosnal and professional questions beforehand in order to gurantee your selection.

Placement Experience:

Not everyone gets placed and the people who gets placed don't get much, there are multiple companies that come for the interview and only people with 60+ percent in their exams can qualify for the interview.

If we talk about syllabus and subjects, it is quite good and relevant. We get subjects of social studies for getting an exposure to the societal and historical glimpse. On the other side students get an opportunity to study legal subjects to get a theoretical knowledge of legal world.
