Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course which i opted is B.COM PROFESSIONAL , this course is integrated with CA and CS with B.COM in first year they prepare students for CA / CS foundation exams. thats the only difference between bcom general and bcom professional . This course comes under bcom professional accounting and finance branch. They take students for industry vist which is common in both bcom general and bcom professional the sem exam timings differ almost all start from 9 am to 12 30 and sometimes from 2 30 to 5 curently i am in my second year and the teaching faculty is really good.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I am in my second year right not (3rd sem) , we got offer from Goldman Sachs for paid internship we still did not go there so i dont have any info about it. eligibilty criterua are: CGPA cut off- 6.5 in all streams No active backlogs aggregate 60% score and above in 10th ant 12th standard

Placement Experience

2.5

From second year end they start with the internships which the college provides and if the student works well there , he/she will be selected by the company to work there for 3 years after the final year min package is 400000. not every student gets selected in placements . i dont have much info about it as i am still in my second year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee = 1,10,000 for three years. i dont know much about scholarship and financial aid about this clg the course which i took is bcom professional they take 110000 and have nothing extra except , they teach ca in the 1st year 2nd and 3rd year are just normal bcom sylabus, theres no difference

Campus Life

4

The college has many fests and they also celebrate ethnic day and annual day once a year they also conduct events where students have to make models and present (like exhibition) You can almost find everything in library , they have everything there and it is well organised there are many clubs in the college and also many sports events take place

Admission

I choose this clg becasue it was suggested by a friend of mine , i applied for St Joseph but my application was accepted after a month (aprox.), so i decided to go with this college. The admission process is quite simple , first you will have to fill an application which u can find on the college website it costs around 400rs . then after that u will have a interview (online) where the scrutiny process begins. The eligibilty criteria is scoring 45% above in ur 12th for bcom, bba, and most of the courses .

Faculty

2

there are many faculty members (around 800). I personally think that most of the faculty members are not approachable. Most of them are partial towards mallu students and they dont really care about others Santhosh sir , Nidhi maam and Jayashree maam, these three were the best for me in my first year they are very easy to approach and they actually care about students . for the worst i'd name Annie stephen , she is the HOD of my branch and probably the worst faculty she makes me regret taking this course lol. She is unnecessarily strict , like litreally for no reason many students actually dont like her ( i hope she knows) and also other faculty members , cant name everyone.

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all
