Dislikes
- The fees of the college is too much, I am from a middle class family and still the fees is making back pain for my family
- There is no separate campus for BTech department, so the campus life is not as much aspected
- There is support from seniors because we are the first batch for our course so we felt a little bit difficulty in studies and support
Course Curriculum Overview
Best part about our college is the curriculum and opportunities of learning way more than the normal engineering. As we all know that DU is already famous for vast no of courses so it have facilities from all cources. The curriculum is way better than other engineering colleges and best the present industry of engineering. In addition of that, if you want to study extra Subjects, then also there is opportunity. From management to humanities and science to statistics, everything you can opt for. Very vast option for minor and specialisation you can get here.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly fees is 216000. There is no fees concession for SC, ST, etc. There is fees concession in basis of PwD and in basis of yearly income; for income less than 2 lacs there is concession of 90% fees and for less then 6 lacs there is 50% fees concession.
Campus Life
It might sound strange but we organised a freshers for ourselves because we were the first batch, and as it is the first freshers therefor it is not as good as aspected, but in future we will try to make it better. There is no fests held in our college till now but there any many big fests in our University. For students who like sports and many other extracurricular activities there is a university stadium facility, it's monthly fees is almost 250rs. "I am not sure about that, because I never opted for this facility". There is central science library and it have ample amount of books you need for your studies. The classrooms are very good and well maintained, Very comfortable and have centralised AC in whole building. There are canteen which have affordable meal. Labs are very nicely made and have everything. In terms of college clubs there is no official club. At last campus life is good but not exceptional.
Admission
I applied for many colleges after 12th. I have given exams like JEE, NEET, CUET, WBJEE, TJEE, COMEDK and a exam for private collage which is VITEEE. I got average marks in JEE, CUET, WBJEE, TJEE, COMEDK and not so good in NEET. After that I got addmission in Central University of Jharkhand in BTech+MTech integration in Electrical engineering, but I left it because of better exposure in DU and in Delhi as a place also have better job opportunities and if I want to study for govt exams like SSC or UPSC then there is no please like Delhi, that's why I came here
Faculty
Maximum faculties are well qualified from reputed institutions including DU, IIT, and many more. Many faculties have done thier research from Abroad. I feel that the help and the support they given to us as a first batch of BTech in DU is best part of us. If I talk about exams, then it have a 1 downgrade that is the examination fees, which is 4500 and it's too much for us because we are already giving too much tution fees and this extra money. Overall it is average in terms of examination and excellent in terms of faculty member
