Course Curriculum Overview

3

Influence by my friends and brother also I was also pretty good with accounts. Out of all the courses i think the commerce is the only which actually has some use in the real world, Based on the difficulty level 3 hours are more than sufficient for an examination

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees for each semester somewhere around ?3000 University fees around ?500. Admission fees 1st semester was ?2465 for Bachelor's in Commerce for General caste for SC/ST the amount was somewhere around 2000

Campus Life

3

Our college conduct no events other than annual function. Our library is the worst faculty in the campus, they didn't even keep the books of our own college courses. We have sports team in Football, Volleyball, Cricket. Other activities - Career Fairs, Campus Events, Guest Lectures and Workshops

Admission

Apart from the college I've been pursuing my Bachelors degree, I applied only in 1 more college which was near my town, I was an eligible student in both colleges though I choose mine because the other college I've applied for has too small campus. Admission criteria is simple if you got at least 50? in 12th (for B. COM), Then your name will be appear in one of 4 rounds of lists of students who got admission

Faculty

2

The relationship between faculty and students are very professional and interpersonal they have qualities like approachability, trust, care and support. The faculties I personally liked are Goal seeking mindset, Classroom management, Ciriculum expertise, Flexibility. The faculties i didn't like are Early Morning classes, Courses with excessive writing or reading assignments.

Other Applied Colleges

KD College of Commerce & General Studies | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

Campus was too small

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
