The field of Geoinformatics consists of Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) with Information Technology among many other aspects. The course structure is very competitive. The main subject matter is Gis and Remote sensing.

Time reservations: Within the sanctioned intake: 15%ST: 7.5%Differently abide: 33%Over and above the sanctioned intake:-Jammu and Kashmir Migrants: 2 seats per programme. International Students including NRIs: 15%.
