Symbiosis School of International Studies (SSIS) established under the flagship of Symbiosis International University (SIU) and situated in Pune, Maharashtra. The school provides a secure platform for research and teaching in the field of International relations and putting emphasis on Global role of India.

In the contemporary scenario, India's interest in the world, as well as the world's interest in India, is visible at its highest. To this end, the Symbiosis School of International Studies (SSIS) endeavors to provide a platform for teaching and research in international relations, with an emphasis on India and its role in global affairs. Set up in consonance with the broader vision of Symbiosis Society, which is "to integrate with the world", SSIS strives to constantly engage in scholarly pursuits in an environment of intellectual fellowship, aimed at the academic enrichment of the entire community.

The discipline of International Studies (IS) positions itself at the crossroads where the dominant cultural, economic, political and social issues that exercise an influence on the national, regional and international agenda converge. SSIS offers two years full-time M.A. in the field of International Studies with an intake of 30 students. This holistic nature of MA course providing students with the capability of examining and analyzing the issue based on a multi-disciplinary approach.

M.A. in International Studies

The M.A. (International Studies) programme offered by SSIS prepares its students with appropriate knowledge and skills according to the needs of the global challenges of the 21^st century.

Students are engaged with international topics such as peace, justice, rights, global commons, cooperation, conflict, governance, diplomacy and so on by discussing and providing alternatives to unresolved issues.
