Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose B.A Economics because I wanted to learn about different economic theories, principles, and their application in various contexts. This course helps in understanding various economical and financial aspects of the real world such as banking, insurance, trade, market, real-estate etc. Also it provided many career options such as financial analyst, economist, market research analyst, banking sector, teaching sector etc. There can be improvement in the syllabus by including many more useful topics like trading and stock markets. The exams are conducted by the end of every semester based on the routine passed by NEHU. There are three exams every semester, one major and two elective subjects. The exams are not too difficult but also depends on preparation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 24,040 approx for all the B.A courses. The feesis to be paid in two installments. The first installment is to be paid during the admission which is combined with the first semester. The total aqmount is 16,180. This fees is required in every odd semesters. The second installment is 7680 which is to be paid in every even semesters. There is also a exam fees of 1200 every semester. The fees for B.SC, B.COM and courses are different depending on the course, most likely a little bit higher than the B.A courses. The college also provides education to economically weaker sectionof the society through a evening batch. The courses are same and a very minimum admission amount is required which is also refundable by the end of the course. Students with the necessary documents and eligibility can apply.

Campus Life

4.5

There are various events organised in our college. The most awaited of all is the college week held in the month of february every year. There is sports, cultural day, jam session, cosplay and various competitions. There are also other activities such as field trips according to departments, skill development programs and many other learning activities. The college library is full of book and resources. It provides variety of subject specific books and apart from it there are everyday newspaper and magazines, book banks, wifi, computers with internet access and many more. There are many clubs and social groups like NCC, NSS, Cyber Club, Media Club, Literary and Drama Club, Tourism Club etc. all providing with different skills for students.

Admission

I did'nt applied in any other college because I wanted to study here. I wanted to experience the lifestyle and environment outside of my hometown. This college provides quality education at an affordable price also the place and the environment here is good for studying. The admission process for this college is through CUET. However during my admission it was based on merit and previous year's academic performance.

Faculty

4.5

The teaching faculty is very good. Most of the teachers in our department are young, this makes the interaction between the teachers interesting and also all teachers are easy to approach. There are almost 10 teachers in our department all having their own speciality in different topics related to the subject. There are three exams in every semester, one major and two elective subjects. However in the final year, there are two major subject exams and one elective. The exam is based on the NEHU syllabus, and the exams are not too difficult depending upon the preparation. But the checking of the answer sheets is very strict making it difficult to score high marks often.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was not my actual mind to opt my major which is history, since it was hard to find open colleges late I had to adjust to it. It might be better since I had a habit of remembering things that are upto no use in the present or maybe better for securing jobs as it is quite in needy in these aspects. It's still not very clear in my part but it partially taught us the basics It gives us 3 hours of time per paper and it's not very different or very hard because it has been always the same pattern along with the portions

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

The way they prepare the question is the main reason for me to choose this college. They really provide not only bookish knowledge but also how to deal with the real world. The examination that they conduct are very reasonable because they give us the amount of time that a normal students need to be prepared for an examination. So I think it's quite reasonable and nice.

I would rate an 8 because curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for the grade and a timeline to follow so the syllabus will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information

Course Curriculum Overview:

In UCC, earlier my brother and sister also studied and i could not make in Anthony's and Edmund's, so I choose this college. The allocation of college is one the best I have seen so far. It is best for those who want to be something in life because the college is little bit far from the main town and the local near this college also not allow any consumption of alcohol, drug, weed etc in the village. They even not allowed to sell them. I like this college as it is. So I don't want to comment on the improvements. The timing odlf exams is similar with other colleges, 3 hours.

NEHU syllabus is quite good I should say, especially with the introduction of the NEP(New Education Policy) Well regarding the curriculum, I would say the teachers play and important part regarding that situation. However, exams or tests are becoming quite a headache for the students compared to the duration of our courses
