Entrance Preview

I am a research scholar in MIT. Basic qualification was M-Tech. And shortlisted candidates based on the qualification exam will be called for personal interview. The admission process is purely based on the performance in the interview. This is the best college I ever visited.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is ultimate. within first 6 months, we have to finalise the topic and have to give two presentations. One in the institution and one in the university. Each level they are very keen to maintain the creativity and innovation in our research. and then comes the coursework. After the protocol presentation at 6th month, they will be giving the confirmation that we are registered for PhD.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, We have groups such as IAESTE, AIESEC specifically for this purpose and they send students all across Europe, Asia and America as interns and companies like Microsoft and CISCO, recruit 3rd yr students from Campus.

Placement Experience

5

Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) has always been very proactive in placing the students into the profiles of their preference. The institute has a well-organised placement team headed by the Associate Director and comprising of faculty and student coordinators from each department.

College Events

5

There are hell lot of events which is happening in our university. In our institution the main event is, I would say, Revels. Revels is the annual culfest (cultural festival) of Manipal Institute of Technology, held in the even semester of every academic year, i.e. the second semester of the year, in or around the month of March.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for doctoral level is very feasible. All three years together Rs.52000/- only. Along with that they are providing stipend also. First year 16000 second year 17000 and third-year 18000. In the first year we have to pay 16000 and the remaining money we have to pay in the consecutive years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The best scholarship which I have availed is for doctoral lever research. The title is Structural PhD and the duration is three and half year. First six months 14000 they will pay and First year 16000 second year 17000 and third-year 18000. Along with that very feasible fee structure also.

Exam Structure

I am not the best person to answer this. But still for my coursework experience I could say Exam and labs are not very frequent. Labs are more like interactive sections where students will get independent attention and the faculties and lab incharges are very keen to clear the students doubts. They encourage the students to do mini projects in our lab itself to get a hands on experience.

Faculty

5

Faculties are well qualified and they are very generously helping the students in all possible ways. Almost all faculties are actively participating in research and collaborating with other departments and universities for fruitful research outcomes.
