What Students Say
Likes
- The teachers are really determined and curriculum focused. You'll find the teachers really friendly and they have quite a lot of experience with teaching.
- The campus is huge, with seperate infrastructure for each program. It has its own Auditorium, seminar hall, ground, parking space, huge library, computer lab, hostel, cafeteria etc.
- The area it is located in is really great, since chandmari is a bustling place, you'll find everything there, be it restaurants, pg, medical shop or even music stores.
Dislikes
- Though the College is great, BBA a a sole program isn't that great, the course is comprehensive but lacks a core, as in expertise.
- Due to the affiliation with GU (such good reputation) your results will be definitely late, and expect numerous bombshells on you, be it exams, curriculum and what not.
- The campus placement isn't great, you'll just get some information and you'll be able to apply for the jobs. But expect to not get one, since they onky hire 1 or 2 people.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course like i said isn't that great, it will just be like a piece of paper which depicts your credibility of employment, nothing else. You'll have to learn the skills by yourself which will benefit you. Otherwise the whole course is theory, and gives you basic aspects of management. Though the last 2 semesters are really important, since those subjects will be the main ones that you'll ever benefit from in your future.
Fees and Financial Aid
To be honest, the fee is too much, compared to the perks the degree gives. It could be lower than what it costs. The whole degree would cost you like 1.2 lakh (quite a lot). The placement isn't that great, don't expect much, but you will get opportunities though. Join internships on your own through job search apps, and maintain a set of skills.
Campus Life
Every classroom has air conditioning and projector. Join in wuth your peers at the anniversary, seminars, other programs like open mic, talent hunts. Parties during student elections, rallies. Its really fun. The library is vast, and you'll get all the books you need. The college has its own gym too. And annual sports week is held every year.
Admission
The cutoff is lower than Bcom. But they only take the ones who have scored the highest, so ill assume it is about 70%. If you have any kind of quota then enjoy. Or in case you have some perks, like you're a singer or good in sports anything that could spike the reputation of the College now or in future, consider yourself admitted already. The exams are moderately tough, if you've grinded in your studies consider good marks, if you haven't you'll get a back log.
Faculty
The faculty is filled in with people who have worked there for a long time, and they hold quite some achievers. You'll know just by the way they teach. Year by year new faculty members join in who have just completed their masters and they are now pursuing their phd. But the reliability is never lacking. The teachers are polite and are firmly aproachable, some teachers may seem frightening to aproach, but remember looks can be deceiving.
