Likes

Class is big and tidy. Good numbers of benches.
Washroom is proper sanitize and big. Different washroom for gents and ladies.
Teacher are helpful. They also teach nice.

Dislikes

Teachers don't take class regularly. And even they come in college they skip class.

They teach nice. Our accounts and economics sir's were amazing. They teach you from very basic and it's fun to attend the class. But they should increase the focus on real world project rather than teaching only from book.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is Lower than others colleges. And the campus is also great with garden flowers and field. The employment opportunities is also average but college is trying their best to give more opportunities to students.

Campus Life

It's best. The campus is big and well managed. Big garden flowers trees. There is gym canteen. Table tennis, football and many more different types of games. The seniors are also very polite to us. We used to play together. They even organised yearly function and many celebrities came .

Admission

At first, you applied for the course with the application form money. And after being shortlisted they will ask for a declaration form from you. After you submit you got admitted in college then the department head will give you a link to join the department WhatsApp group. Then you will get all the official notifications from there

Faculty

The teacher student ratio is quite good. They are well educated and helpful if you ask. They also help you for internship and job opportunity. Sometimes they also provide their phone numbers for any query regarding studies.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

the reality of kd college

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am from Commerce background so I need to make my career on this way so I choose this course . The faculty and student receive is not good the students and the faculty ratio is 10 : 5 The faculties are educated from various university and institutes they know everything but they are unable to delivered them to us as because they are some aggressive attitude. In every six months there is a semester and it is very difficult to pass if you don't study anything from the first.

I choose bcom honours because there are so many opportunities in this field. There are so many students in the college about 100 in a section. Qualification is good And the teaching method is so good professors help us and also provide us with notes. The exam is also on time.
