Remarks

i would say its a great place to try and entertain new things have new outlooks on life changing and exploring

Entrance Preview

you can get admission into niec by the ipu-sat exams. the questions are of mid-level and total over 180 i think if i remember correctly passing the exam is no though thing most of the seats are reserved for Delhi student and there is less reservation quota so if you are a delhi student it should not be difficult for you the exam are taken in may and the result comes out till late.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

teaching system is of the basics. ipu central syllabus is followed the labs are averagely maintained teaching faculty is better compared to other ipu colleges there are mini projects in every semester .till second year syllabus is mostly rigid electives come in final year the system of education mostly revolves around textbooks. classes are mostly dull and students chose to bunk classes over attending them.there is less focus on practical knowledge there are no international languages in electives so if you are planning on learning languages you are gonna have to try someplace else

Internships Opportunities

college internship is rare even the internships are lowly paid so one has to look for outer sources for internships and stipend is still a long shot

Placement Experience

3.5

the placement is good for most of the students get placed they are not high achievers average packages do not exceed 4 lakhs mostly mass recruiters are takers with an exception of a few good companies most students get placed easily and less no of students who are not doers fail in placement time

College Events

4

university fests are one to attend with a large crowd it makes it sensational technical fests are common in the college .with an annual fest one can expect celebrity appearance and parties other activities include occasional dance and music competitions....sports days are one to boost your physical strengths and achievements

Fee Structure And Facilities

college fees include around 1 lakh per year with extra curricular it stretches to some extent but on an average, it meets a low value extra expenditures include training fees industrial visits and expenditures on stationary and notes....food and living is still cheap so its on an average a feasible deal

Fees and Financial Aid

for economically weaker families colleges tuition fees are waved based on charity and college funds there are no services for installment fees submission

Campus Life

3.5

places to hangout are canteens and sports chamber dance and music societies are common most sports are available women are less in numbers compared to men in general there is about 40% ratio with the difference the place is still lit on days couples can be found in all age groups

Hostel Facilities

0.5

no hostels facilties are there in college students living in viscinity choose pg's or rent out places on average cheap places are available mostly from laxmi nagar and nearby places most students reside in delhi and choose to travel a distance to reach here ...

Alumni/Alumna

successful students can be found in college seminars and fests technological groups entertained by seniors passouts can be less seen among college premises

Exam Structure

every semester got 2 internals and one external so ..its kind of high on time management. with an average of 6 sub per sem .passing all of them can be tricky when not studying. slow days are of start of session last days are mostly captured by the loss of time in practicals and other activities

Admission

i filled out sat form and took the exam in may after that i got rank around 13k bases on that it was little difficult for me to get computer science so you choose ece over that it took around 1 month for results to be out and then there were counseling procedures you have to submit lot of documents before getting admission and thats fairly easy

Faculty

3.5

faculty is mostly experienced most of the teaching faculty have doctorate the rest of them have masters at least hod's are generally experienced and other faculty is above average in general college offers a good class of faculty with an exception of a few which are low experienced and less talented in teaching .in early semesters teaching faculty is generally less experienced

Placement offers are not that good, like if you're pursuing other courses than btech so the placement is good but in btech, tech companies don't come that often, so you have to develop your skills during your academics and apply offline for job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently what a job require and what we are being taught in the college, totally different. We have to study separately for preparing job because in our course curriculum, importance skills aren't taught and the frequency of exam throughout the year is too much. We don't get enough time for preparing jobs. We need less frequency of exams throughout the year so that we can prepare for a job.
