- Even though it is an evening college, the faculty is surprisingly really good, very cooperative and encouraging.

- The political students union is something which I didn't like
Course Curriculum Overview
Since Syamaprasad College is under the University of Calcutta, the course curriculum is set by them itself. All the material within the curriculum is highly relevant to the course itself. Also the teaching methods of the teachers is also really nice making it very easy to understand by the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since Syamaprasad College is a government college, the fees structure is very nominal, it's as low as it can get. I was Bcom and the person semester fees was around 3500/- on an average making it a yearly fees of around 7000/- more or less.
Campus Life
College does have really nice library quick with various books on different kinds of topics and also they got a gymnasium which is free for the students to use also and also there is an early my football tournament that is organised by the college under students union. And as of social clubs the biggest social club would be the political union and the seniors would urge the juniors to get into this club. Also, it is a ragging-free campus and students can be at ease, nobody is going to pick on them and even if somebody does they can immediately inform the deal and Deen would take strict actions against the culprit.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is around 60% in your class 12 board exams and the cutoff is generally set every year but like for every year it is different so when I got enrolling college the cutoff was around 60% and I have Skoda code 63 percentage and I went through the admission process in around two weeks. There is separate merit list that comes around for the SC ST and OBC candidates. And there was no entrance exam for the course which I got to enroll that is BCom.
Faculty
As I said earlier , syamaprasad college has some really good faculty. The professors are all highly qualified with Master's and some even with PhD in their respective fields. The teachers are very cooperative and supportive and will encourage the peers and also push them to optimise their true potential. The teachers are very kind and friendly and can be approached with ease.
