Likes
- Less fee. The fees of the graduation courses is less and affordable as compared to other private universities
Dislikes
- The teaching method. It seems like every professor or teacher is just doing their formalities. This behaviour is so annoying
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum prepared for the Bcom hons course which I persuide was well designed as to cover all the essential topics related to finances, business organisations, accounting, economics, etc. But only the teaching methods need to be changed in a manner to draw focus on each and every student out there. Abd the most important thing our exams, our exams held just after when the teacher starts their syllabus completion 20 to 25 days before. It's like we have just started covering the syllabus and boom 20 days later you have exams on your head.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was in school of open learning in the DU university. My course fee was approx 5000 per semester and the course lasts for 3 years. So total it adds up to 30000 INR. There was no scholarship given by the college. No such stipends and not even the official fresher's party that's the dream of an average college going student. But on the affordability purpose it was enough to take the studies, give exams and take the degrees at this much cost.
Campus Life
I joined the college as a correspondence. So only Saturdays and Sundays are their for our classes. Books were available at the campus before one or two weeks of the commencement of the classes. For taking books also you've to register yourself on the site and after the receipt or acknowledgement slip you can take your course book. The structure of providing books was good. There were no socual gatherings no sports and extracurricular activities offered by the college to the correspondence students.
Admission
For Bcom Hons course if you've got 45% in the senior secondary school then you are eligible for acquiring the course. You can easily found the application form on the official website of Du sol i.e, du.sol.ac.in. there you can enter your credentials after registering yourself and complete your application form for enrolling.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio, In my opinion it was 1:2 like we have less faculties and the students applied and registered for the cources are much more. Even if any student wants to personally ask a question to the teachers then they have to wait for the class to dismiss. Not all professors and teachers there present was this much irresponsible but few ones from them were annoying.
