Entrance Preview

As I live in a small town there is no good college in my town and I can't afford going to cities like Mumbai and delhi etc so I choose to get admission in Chandigarh .when I researched everywhere ie on internet ask from my know I got to know that sd college is the best college. So I decided to get admission here

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As I have to do msc in zoo so I choose bsc in which I study everyday which the teacher taught in class make notes daily . Revise the notes every Sunday so that I remember everything. Make small notes about the things I forget and read everyday in my transport time.

Internships Opportunities

My college doesn't provide any internship . May be I can be wrong also as I don't have idea about that because I am studying bsc in which chances of interns are quite less known.

Placement Experience

2.5

Not many companies came to our college to give the job and the selected students are quite less 1 in every 50 studnet . Moreover no company will give u job after doing bsc they always ask for msc and PhD students so I am currently doing my bsc so I have not idea about that.

College Events

4.5

Many events are celebrated in our college the main event of college is virasat in which Punjabi singers come the other events are organized by different department like of science it is biorhythn of commerce it's panache of computers it is Viva city . Moreover tedx talks we're also organized poster making completion and many other competition also takes place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We have to pay approx 27000 for a year and after that there is an examination fee which is nearabout 2700 for one seen so I can't say that the fee is feasible for all the students but it is not very much expensive like that of cgc and other private University which is about 1 lakh to 5 lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not offered any scholarship or loan by the college and that's why I have less knoweldge of scholarship and loans.

Campus Life

5

As I am doing bsc the gender ratio of males:females is 2:50 it means that females are more than males the campus area is quite good very large the campus is sheded ,the labs are best . So many competition are organized which provide opportunity to students to succeed in there resp field . The college have very large sports ground.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

As I am not a hostelar so I can't say anything about that but my friend lives there according to her the food is ok not very good they give fruits but the fruits are not always fresh . We are not allowed to go to the hostel , eat hostel food even with money and also the hostel timing is up to 5 so I think it is not a good thing as some students need to take coaching whise timing are up to 6pm

Alumni/Alumna

Yes , the senior students are quite helpful have very polite nature . They always give you right advice and help us in our resp field.

Exam Structure

Our college conduct total of 4 exam in 2 semester which means 2 exam in a semester one is mid semester test which is conducted by college in the month of September and feburary and the other are conducted by panjab University in the college in the month of December and March.

Admission

Firstly we have to fill admission form that is combine admission form for all the colleges in Chandigarh . After that a merit list came according to the course we have choose . The basis of merit list was % , age, alphabetic order . As I got 88% but my age was only 16 so my rank was not first after that counselling occur and I got admisssion

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are quite well educated they have a strong knoweldge base . They always plan management teaches with a variety of stratergies so that every student whether he/she is good in studies or not they give there 100% so that every student in class understand the topic and get good result

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It really depends upon the course itself. A good curriculum includes preparing students for what's out there. Faculty here teaches the core concepts along with staying up to date with the trends and new technologies, it helps to connect the theory part with practicals. Therefore our course is relevant and comprehensive.

Curriculum is prepared well. I chose medical as i was a medical student. Curriculum is prepared in such a wau that it will help you out in the real world too. Improvement is required in the books as some of the books are out dated. Timing of exams are accurate we get enough time to prepare for the exam and difficulty level is moderate.
