Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course and curriculum is well designed according to real world scenario.Me as a student of BA Programme got to learn subject like History and Political Science . The subject include all the real world and practical knowledge. Also the knowledge acquired by studying these subjects can be further utilised in preparation of competitive exams like UPSC or State PSC. These is no as such need to improve the curriculum as it is already enough The exams are conducted in the month of May- June for even semester and in December for odd semester . Admit Card/ Hall Ticket is issued one week before examination , and the good thing is that all the centres allotted are the colleges of Delhi University having good connectivity . The exam arrangement are also good at the centre. Difficulty level are moderate. If one is able to clear the concept he /she can score well . Study Material of the college is enough for scoring good marks

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees of BA Programme is around ?15000.During my graduation there was not a huge hike in fees except a small hike of ?400-?500 in second year. SOL conducts campus recruitment in the last semester. But the jobs offered are often small and low paid as the students have done their graduation from distance learning. One can prepare for competitive exams after or during his college Ney fees is around ?15000

Campus Life

3

There are no as such fest conducted for SOL students . During my graduation only once a marathon was conducted in North Campus. Since there is no need to visit the college except the scheduled class (that are even not necessary to take) no sports activity takes place No official social group, clubs ,etc exist.

Admission

Course eligibility is very simple .The one who has completed his 10+2 from any board and medium can enroll in School of Open Learning. There is now cut off as such Application can be filled by visiting the official website of School of Open Learning. The admissions takes place for 1 month Exam are conducted in June for even semester and December for odd semester Admission process is good .One has to fill his/her details in online form and upload necessary documents , after the fees submission you are the student of SOL

Faculty

4

Faculty/teachers in the college are well qualified and helpful in nature . All of them are regular teachers of Delhi University that voluntarily enroll to teach students in School of Open Learning. All the necessary information and extra notes are timely provided by them in the group Intraction with them is only in the college , when the classes are scheduled

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
