Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have chose computer science and engineering as my program. They offered nearly 40-48 courses overal in 4 years. All the courses they provide are being well taught according to their materials and notes. They provides notes andnwe have to note/take them in our notebooks. We can revise whole notes when exams approaches, will be ending with good and handful marks to pass out. There are basically 2 main exams, Mid term and end term. Mid term will be of 50 marks and endterm will of 100 marks in which the ultimate aim of student is to score the criterion marks set by the college to get passed in the course. We have to secure 40% of marks overall to get passed. There is a marks breakup midterm 50, endterm 100, continuous assessment 50 - total 200 marks. We have to cross 80 marks out of 200 under specific condition, midterm+endterm should be atleast 40 marks and rest may be your assessment marks to reach 80. If you reach above 80 and your merit is more out of 200. Then there is a higher scale

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college placements are pretty well, most students get recruited the figure is nearly 85%. The most of them are technical and sales based. The highest salary package was 13LPA (approx). The lowest was 2.5LPA and average is 4.5LPA. There were nearly 1000 students selected for the placement drives and most of them got recruited. During 7th semester most companies approach and take in students while in 8th sem there will be low package offers of the companies. I think I will be getting a good company and I will get placed easily based on my skills. If I don't get placed in many of the companies, I might start my own startup because this college has taught me to take part in business also by providing exposure to business by organising launchpads, competitive events and many more. I can also make my own networking strong as there is a strength of 15K students overall in an University. Which provides well and suitable exposure to earn on our skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for KCET crackers is about 1.05Lakh/year. Those whole come from management quota it goes upto 4.5Lakhs/year.(Approx) There are many departments where fee structure varies. Well I have opted computer science and engineering under KCET quota so I have to pay only 4.2lakhs in whole 4 Years. They provide scholarship only for management quota not for KCET or other quota students (sometimes based on merit) The campus employment opportunities are more when it comes to interactive teachers, if they interact well with students then they are approximately hired. There are nearly 300+ faculties at present. But there is a need of many skilled and interactive teachers.

Campus Life

5

My experience about the college is so well, it gave me all the possible aspects to get experienced keeping the college timings aside from 9AM to 5PM. I spent my good wholesome time in college, it was moreover joyous moments with friends, bunking classes and having sports in the ground. I still remember those days when rain comes and whole college gets wet, the grounds get wet andbwe enjoyed a lot. Friendship scope is 1000% in such populated college. This campus gives whole support in collaboration to people around and make them good friends for life. This college arranges many fests, events and competitions where you can take part. There is a DSA club (department of student affairs) which organises events and many more things. Many students can take part in any of the club they are interested in. Coming to the infrastructure of the college the whole infrastructure is very beautifully designed and every department has different blocks where classes are arranged in a sequence.

Admission

I wrote KCET entrance exam and I have got well marks. My ranking was nearly 23k, and the number of students attempted KCET entrance was 2-3lakhs. I have opted Presidency University in computer science and engineering and well i have got the seat and immediately rushed for the addmission process. There is very easy admission process can be finished within 20 mins, first you have to give all your details about education, schooling and all. Submit all necessary documents. They take in students for admission from various fields and change their branches according to change for cost. After entering into the particular branch we can change it according to our wish when you provide the cost to change that branch ex. If you get admitted in ECE branch, after admitting you can apply for change of branch from ECE to CSE, provide some cost for changing and boom you are most welcome in your desired branch. It's not fair with students when cracked entrances and entered the particular branch.

Faculty

2.5

Well, once I was asking one of the faculty about their journey and the way they approached in their career and they started explaining me about their experiences. Once they complete Msc or other higher studies they gonna have some common interview and boom they are hired in the college. They get nearly 3-5LPA, they maintain tenure based on the teaching hours and number of positions they work for. They are well knowledged and have some application based knowledge. Just explain very well but they can't implement it 100%.

Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad.
